Paradigm Pro “Trap Soul”

The Collective 2020: Part 12

10/11/20 - Indianapolis, IN

And here we are, the final show of 2020’s Collective weekend! Last one! Let’s gooooo!

Earlier in the day, Erick Stevens announced that this would be his final night as a pro wrestler....

So here we are about to see his final match. A little bit of a snafu as it appears the show started at 11:30 and FITE TV has it going at 11:59.

Match 1: Suge D vs O’Shay Edwards

Suge with fast strikes to open. Edwards with a backfist and Germans Suge from post to post. F5 to Suge but Edwards goes for another and tosses him out of the ring. Suge makes the 10 count back in. Suge fires up with chops to stagger Edwards. headbutt and Suge comes running but gets bodied down. Suge going for a choke from behind and tries to wear the big man down. Suge working the wrist and kicking out the tree trunks that hold Edwards up. Suge wants a cross arm breaker. Edwards tries to slam out of it but falls back into the hold. Edwards with a desperation spinebuster and a powerbomb for 2. Suge locks up the arm in a triangle from the powerbomb. Edwards won’t quit and Suge keeps applying pressure. The ref has seen enough and stops the match.

Winner: Suge D

DAAAAMN. Good job, Suge! He broken Edwards down after surviving the early beast mode. He cuts a promo about how he exploited Edwards’ arm after being told of a previous injury. He’s tired of being overlooked. He’s tired of being nice. He decides to keep Edwards Kaiju mask as a trophy of his win. He’s coming for PPW champ Myron Reed.

Match 2: Sonico vs Chase Holiday (for the Midwest Territory Championship Chain)

Sonico spits blood in Chase’s face. Corner dropkick with a PK and Chase is sent to the outside. Sonico with a springboard dive to the floor, he doesn’t get all of it. Sonico trying to break Chase’s fingers in the ring post. Battling around the arena. Kicks to the chest. Slamming the hand of Holiday onto the ringside chairs and trying to rip at the fingers. Chase is pissed and throwing chops with his good hand. Chase continuing to fire but and hits a suplex for two. Sonico crumples the champ with a head kick, misses the followup dropkick. Chase with a pair of backfist s and Sonico stays down for three.

Winner (and still champ): Chase Holiday

This was a lot of fun. Sonico with the blood mist right out the gate made this match LOOK more brutal than it technically was.

Match 3: Naptown Elimination Scramble - Brayden Lee vs Freddie Hudson vs Adam Slade vs Dylan Derringer vs Zay Washington vs Billie Starkz vs Miles Morales vs Shawn Kemp vs Juicy Finau

The winner of this match gets a shot at Calvin Tankman, who is injured after Bloodsport. If they get past Tankman at a future show, they get a shot at the PPW Heavyweight Champion.

Adam and BIllie dive right out at Juicy, Billie crashes and burns on the concrete. Everyone dives at Juicy. He’s the one to beat. Everyone is diving, the ref’s are trying to make sure Starkz is okay. Juicy gets away and flips off the apron at everyone. Zay dives from commentary down to the floor below. Zay wipes out Lee with quick sequences, near fall on a split leg moonsault. Kemp with an enziguri and cycle driver. Kemp and Slade slap some meat. Derringer drops Slade with dropkicks and head scissors. Miles and Freddie go at it, Miles dropped with a cutter. This is 200/mph. Billie Starkz in against Lee with chest kicks and a german sends him flying. It’s Juicy’s turn. He throws her up and lets her falls and roll out. Juicy killing everyone. Even Kemp bounces off him and Juicy hits a tour of the islands slam. Everyone ready to team up against Juicy. It’s not super effective. Juicy with a Samoan drop to Hudson and Derringer but they kick out. Juicy to the top....misses a senton bomb. Thank god. Everyone hitting knees and running kicks to Juicy’s face. Everyone works to suplex and falcon arrow Juicy and collectively pig pile pin him. Dillenger with a code red to Lee but he kicks out. Dillenger with a shooting star but Lee kicks out. MIles with a shooting star to Dillenger and he stays down for three. Miles with a poisonrana to Zay but he flips out of it. Head kick and spiral senton to Miles for the pin. Hudson with a bomb and tiger driver to Zay for the pin. Lee with an emerald fusion to Hudson and he’s out. Down to Lee, Kemp, Starkz & Slade. Kemp with a super AA to Lee. Slade throws a knee and slam Kemp onto Lee to get the pin on Lee. Starkz toe to toe with Slade but she takes a big boot. Slade charging and Kemp intercepts. Kemp with a bounce back lariat and Slade is out. Down to Starkz and Kemp, teammates of IFHY. They shake hands. He attacks but Billie hits a spinning back kick and a Swanton bomb for two. She pulls him up into a german suplex for the three count. Starkz gets to fight Tankman.?

Winner: Billie Starkz

Not gonna lie. The tease of Starkz & Tankman during the Cluster last night was a great setup for this. This was super fast and chaotic once they got all the dives out of the way.

Some of the matches tonight are contested under UWFI rules. Fighters start with 15 point each and they lose points for a variety of reasons. Rope breaks, Suplexes & Fouls are worth 1 point. Knockdowns are 3 points lost. If they run out of points, they lose. If they get KO’d or submitted, they lose. I’ll try to keep up.

Match 4: Kevin Ku vs Dominic Garrini (UWFI Rules)

Ku and Garrini working and trading submission holds. Showing respect. Ku with leg kicks trying to cut him down. Ku working the neck, Dom gets the rope break. Dom with a suplex to Ku. Dom with a leg lock and Ku to the rope break. Ku throwing a flurry of palm strikes. Dom with a flurry of strikes and Ku drops. Ku with a head kick and Dom drops for an 8 count. Ku with a back suplex. Ku comes running and Dom gets a flying triangle. It’s deep and Ku taps!

Winner: Dominic Garrini

Having just watched Bloodsport, I’m ready for more MMA/Wrestling hybrid matches. The points system and rules here definitely definitely added a wrinkle that I wonder HOW it plays for the live crowd not getting commentary.

J-Rose is out to say Cole Radrick cannot compete tonight. His originally scheduled opponent Flash Thompson is out to force a 10 count and forfeit. Ref gets to 6 and Cole Radrick IS here??? He’s limping but ready to fight.

Match 5: Cole Radrick vs Flash Thompson (UWFI rules)

Cole throwing strikes and quickly wraps in a rear naked choke. Flash takes the rope break. Radrick with a head kick. Ref trying a break and Flash hits an illegal closed fight for a knockdown. Cole with a flurry, cracks with the bad knee and decks him flat. Flash with a takedown, Cole wants an armbar, Flash raining shots and locks in a knee bar and Cole taps.

Winner: Flash Thompson

Match 6: Erick Stevens vs The Hoodfoot (UFWI Rules)

This is it, the final match of Ericks Stevens’ professional wrestling career. They shake hands. Steven charges and trading palm strikes. Hoodfoot with a toss and Stevens has to recover. Stevens wants a leg lock. he settles to drag Hoodfoot down by the wrist. Hoodfoot goes to the ropes. Hoodfoot on top and Stevens goes for a triangle and Hoodfoot back on the ropes. Trading slaps again and a jumping knee connects. Stevens with a double leg takedown and Hoodfoot gets the rope. That’s 3. Hoodfoot with a back body drop and Stevens pops back up. Hoodfoot has a headlock but Stevens slips and wrapping up the arm again. Another rope break. Hoodfoot is frustrated. Stevens doesn’t want to go out on his shield tonight. Hoodfoot with a toss to Stevens and the ref is counting him out. Hoodfoot with a backdrop driver and Stevens is down again. Stevens asked for another shot and a wild slap knocks Stevens back down. Stevens hanging in the standup, big knee and trading slaps. Stevens gets suplexed and slapped back to the canvas. He’s gotta be low on points. Stevens is down again and Hoodfoot is dropping slaps to the back of the head and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight.

Winner: Hoodfoot

All drama in this fight. Stevens went down swinging. They hug it out as Stevens takes a bow to the crowd, with Kevin Ku & Dom Garrini there in the ring. He takes off his boots and kisses the canvas. Thank you for the good matches, Erick Stevens.

Match 7: Alex Colon vs Bobby Beverly (for the Heavy Hitters Championship)

Colon is holding light tubes. This is basically a 3 on 1 with Bobby’s goons. He takes out the goon with light tubes and turns his attention to his actual opponent. Colon slices up Bobby’s head with broken light tubes on all four side of the ring. Beverley sent to the chairs at ringside and smashes him with a side can. Chair shot to the back. Colon dragging him around the arena and smashing him into everything. Suplex on the bleachers. Ow. Colon whips a trash can. Bobby chokes with the camera wire. Bobby with a chair shot and he’s working over Colon on the top turnbuckle. Bobby falls into a tree of woe and double stomped out of it. Colon sets up the trash can for a running dropkick. Two count. Bobby charges and goes through a board covered in carpet strips. OW. Colon with a light tube full Nelson but he blinds himself. Bobby with a brain buster on a chair and colon kicks out. Beverley whips a chair at the official that didn’t count three. COlon recovers and throws a chair and stomps the hell out of Bobby. Bobby dodges a charge and goes to the top. Colon with a trash can shot and a Spanish fly but the ref is still down. Bobby down for like....12. New ref! Two count. Double stomp through the trash can on Bobby’s back. Bobby’s goons are back to join the fray. Colon eats a chair pie face. The goons hold Colon and Bobby hits a super kick. 1. 2. Kick out! More light tubes get introduced. They hold it up and Bobby hits another superkick through the tubes into Colon’s face. He stays down for three.

Winner: Bobby Beverly

Violent and crazy and we still have two more of these wild contests to go??? Ring getting swept. More light tubes are getting added under the ring.

Match 8: Earl’s Picks (Juicy Jimmy, Nolan Edward & Hardway Heeter) vs The Rejects (Reed Bentley, John Wayne Murdoch & Akita) (Trios DeathMatch for the PPW Tag Team Championship)

The Rejects had out light tubes. Tubes getting smashed on everyone. Commentary audibly hopes the building ventilation is working. Akira and Nolan back and forth with strikes, bouncing back into the fray every time they drop into the broken glass. Akira stabs spikes into his own forearm and headbutts Nolan. The Rejects throw Earl’s Pick out and hit a trio of dives. Nolan stabs the crap out of Murdochs arm. Carnage happening everywhere. Hard to tell why people are specifically bleeding more now. Akira with a tube bundle and senton onto Heeter. Heeter with a sit out powerbomb to Akira. Jimmy cutting up Murdoch. Heeter cutting up Reed. Nolan just blasting Akira with more tubes. The Rejects take more tube shots and it energizes them. Reed beating Heeter with a tennis racket. Akira being used as a human spear. Jimmy won’t go down....so they throw Akira this time. I hear that someone uses an ADULT NOVELTY TOY as a weapon and stuffs it down someone’s throat. Aight. Nolan double suplexed into the glass-covered canvas for two. Akira trading shots with Juicy Jimmy. He hits a Vader bomb through tubes to Akira. Akira out at two. Heeter with a chokeslam to Akira but Murdoch is in with a metal baseball bat covered in tacks. Jimmy sent through a board covered in tubes. Reed with a half and half to Heeter. Setting up a doortable. Nolan waking up as Murdoch lights up the table. Murdoch hits a destroyer to Nolan through a flaming doortable. 1 2 3.

Winners: The Rejects

Chaos. Everyone bleeding and covered in glass. I’m drunk on violence. This door burned way better than the last one someone tried to burn this weekend. I don’t know who Earl is but he picked some tough folks to take on the Rejects here. So they have to clean the ring again for the main event? Let’’s do this.

Main Event: Matthew Justice vs Bradley Prescott IV (Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match)

Here we go! last match of the weekend! *cracks first beer of the weekend* The ring has a bunch of plunder in it, including 2 large fencing sections (that Prescott almost pulls onto himself by accident). BP4 (yes they call him that) suplexes Justice in the fencing and it is getting bent to hell. He blasts Justice with several chair chops to the gut. Justice wants a shot to the head but BP4 won’t do it. Justice shows him how THAT is done. BP4 gets a kendo stick shot in but Justice absorbs it and smashes this frat boy down. Is he a frat boy? He looks like a frat boy. Justice wants a senton into a seated BP4 but he dodges and Justice crashes and burns. Prescott with a dive and almost goes face first into the concrete. BP4 with chair shots to the back. Bar fight punches. Justice blasted with a thick piece of wood. BP4 trying to put Justice away so he calls his goons. Yay goons! They set up the bent up fencing on some chairs while BP4 hits justice with a broom. Justice crawling into the fence. BP4 puts a Natty Light bxo on his head. Then he puts a trash can on his head. BP4 dives into the fence. Justice ain’t there. Justice drags him back into the ring. Kendo shots. White Russian leg sweep. BP4 to his feet and eats a kendo sick to the face. DDt from justice. Two count. DVD into the other fencing! One count! BP4 is up! Justice grabs a beer and cracks it over BP4’s skull. It explodes and Prescott crumbles. BP4 face first over a trash can. Kendo smashes to the back as justice has his foot on the neck. Justice wants a SIDEWAYS chair shot to the head. BP4 cuts it off with a kendo stick and spike piledrives him off the top rope through an upside down trash can. OH GOD! Three count.

WInner: Bradley Prescott IV

That was crazy. How is Justice standing and cracking a beer? Wow! Okay!

And that’s it for “Trap Soul”. A mix of wild deathmatch, mma hybrid, some “normal” wrestling and a wild scramble. This was a perfect end to a long weekend of wrestles. I’ll have to check out Paradigm some in the future, especially with that Tankman/Starkz match on the horizon. But now I am exhausted and can’t talk further. If y’all followed my reports this far, I thank you. This weekend gave back some of what we lost in April. But I need sleep now. I’m sure I’ll have more to say about this pile of shows. But later. Sleep...now..... Until next time.
