NAITO VS. EVIL, TANAHASHI VS. GOTO & MORE: FULL NJPW G1 CLIMAX SHOW RESULTS FOR 10/11

?New Japan G1 Climax 30 B Block Results for Oct. 11

Opening Match: Yota Tsuji vs. Gabriel Kidd.

Kidd pins Tsuji with a Butterfly Suplex.

B Block Tournament Matches:

YOSHI-HASHI vs. Zack Sabre Jr.

Both men grappled at the start showing their amateur wrestling skills.   YOSHI-HASHI took down ZSJ with a Frankensteiner.  ZSJ quickly took him down with an arm lock and wrenched his left arm with a Hammer Lock knee drop.   ZSJ went to work on YOSHI-HASHI’s left arm with kicks and submissions.    YOSHI-HASHI kept getting to the ropes for a break.   YOSHI-HASHI countered  with a high kick to ZSJ’s face.   He hit ZSJ with chops and spin kicks.   He hit two dropkicks on ZSJ for a one count.    ZSJ took down YOSHI-HASHI with a Hammer Lock and stomped on his injured left arm.   ZSJ followed with a European Uppercut and a kick which sent YOSHI-HASHI into the corner.   ZSJ charged and was met with a big chop to the chest.  YOSHI-HASHI hit a running sit down powerbomb.   Two count.   YOSHI-HASHI applies the Butterfly Lock.   ZSJ reverses into an abdominal stretch.  YOSHI-HASHI reverses into his own abdominal stretch and transitioned back into a Butterfly Lock.   He kept the Butterfly Lock on in the middle of the ring while ZSJ was struggling for the ropes.   YOSHI-HASHI adds a Hammer Lock for more pain.   ZSJ is able to stretch to reach the ropes.   YOSHI-HASHI attempts a brain buster but ZSJ spins out, takes down his opponent by the knees and stomps on his injured left arm.    They start to brawl and the pace of the match picks up speed.   YOSHI-HASHI with a double knee to the face.  Two count.  ZSJ trapped YOSHI-HASHI on the mat and applied a series of arm submissions.   ZSJ trapped both YOSHI-HASHI’s arms behind his back applied pressure.  YOSHI-HASHI submits.   Zack Sabre Jr. gets the win and two points.

Great match!   

Toru Yano vs. KENTA

The referee takes rolls of tape from Yano’s tights.    KENTA is still holding his briefcase.  Yano gets a chair.   The referee is telling them both to put them away.  Yano tosses the chair away.  KENTA refuses.  Yano takes off the turnbuckle pad.   Referee warns them again. Yano tosses the pad.  KENTA again refuses.  Yano goes for another turnbuckle pad.  KENTA finally agrees to the starting the match properly. KENTA puts the briefcase away then jumps out of the ring.   Yano is getting frustrated.   Yano leaves the ring too.   Referee almost counts both out.   KENTA slides back out and Yano follows.  KENTA attacks Yano, but Yano throws him into the guardrails.   Yano finds more tape and tries to tape KENTA.  KENTA hits a kick to his face.   KENTA steals the tape but Yano sprays his hand sanitizer in KENTA’s eyes.   KENTA almost gets counted out.    KENTA hits a DDT on Yano.   KENTA throws Yano into the unprotected turnbuckle and pours the hand sanitizer into Yano’s eyes.   School boy roll up on Yano.   Two count.  KENTA goes out of the ring to get more sanitizer to use.  Yano tries to stop him.  They both grab the bottle but the bottle breaks and splashes in the eyes of the referee.   KENTA grabs his briefcase and he and Yano fight up the entry way.  KENTA hits Yano with the briefcase and rolls of tape fall out of the case.  KENTA hits Yano in the head again.   KENTA ties Yano to the metal entryway and runs back to the ring.   KENTA wins by count out. 

Fine for what it was.  

Juice Robinson vs. SANADA

Lots of chain wrestling at the start.  SANADA with a dropkick to the knee.   SANADA attempts a Paradise Lock but Juice  escapes and hits a spine buster.   Juice throws SANADA into the guardrails.   Back in the ring, Juice applies a back breaker and a senton.   Two count.  SANADA fights back with punches.  Juice hits a back suplex.   Juice hits a lariat in the corner but misses a cannonball.   SANADA with a dropkick that sends Juice to the floor.  SANADA hits a plancha.   Back in the ring, Juice attempts a Juice Box but SANADA escapes and ties up Juice in the Paradise Lock.  The crowd applauds as SANADA releases Juice from the hold.   Juice plants SANADA with a full nelson slam.  SANADA crawls to the corner and is hit with a Cannonball from Juice.  

Juice hits a superplex, holds on and applies a Jack Hammer.  Only a two count.  SANADA tries to rally but SANADA is planted with a powerbomb.  Two count.  Juice throws right hands.   SANADA comes off the ropes and locks him in Skull End.   Juice reverses out and misses Pulp Friction.   SANADA misses a moonsault.   SANADA locks in Skull End.  Juice reverses out.   Lots of reversals.  SANADA gets it back on with a body scissors.  SANADA with a moonsault and pins Juice!

Good match.   Juice continues to do well against the top wrestlers in New Japan.   SANADA gets to a 3-way tie at second place with 8 points.

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Hirooki Goto

After good chain wrestling, Tanahashi attacked the left knee and leg of Goto.   He hyperextended his knee and applied an Indian Death Lock.   Goto fought back with a back suplex. He hit a lariat and a bulldog headlock.   Goto went for kick but Tanahashi hit three leg whips.    Tanahashi went for the Texas Cloverleaf but Goto grabbed the ropes.   Goto hits an ushigaroshi but further hurt his leg.   Both men start brawling, throwing elbows.   Goto floors him with a lariat.   Goto goes for a GTR but Tanahashi reverses out.  They both try for suplexes.  Tanahashi hits Twist and Shout.    Tanahashi comes off the ropes with Slingblade.  Two count.   Tanahashi drops Goto with a wicked slap.   They battle on the ropes.  Goto gets Tanahashi in a fireman’s carry.   Goto nails an ushigaroshi from the second rope.   Wow!   Goto hits a face first GTR.  Goto lifts him for another GTR.  Tanahashi reverses out but Goto is able to hit another GTR and pin Tanahashi!

Awesome match!   Must see match!  This is the type of match I expected from Goto since the G1 began.  Tanahashi was great too.   I am glad Tanahashi attacked Goto’s leg and not his shoulder.   

Tetsuya Naito vs. EVIL, with Dick Togo.

Naito went after EVIL’s neck with punches and submissions.   Togo interfered and they double teamed Naito.   They wrapped a chair around his hard and EVIL smashed him in the head.    EVIL went to work on Naito’s neck.   Naito made a comeback with Combinacion de Cabron.   He dropkicked Togo for good measure.   EVIL tries for a Fisherman Buster but Naito reverses into a Pluma Blanca.  Togo is quickly back on the ring apron.   EVIL charges, Naito sidesteps and crashes into Togo.   EVIL comes off the ropes and Naito hits a spine buster.  Naito applies Pluma Blanca again.     EVIL rolls to the ropes and gets a break.  Naito tries for a springboard DDT but EVIL counters with a Fisherman Buster.   EVIL hits a big Superplex.   Two count.   EVIL applies the Scorpion Death Lock.   Naito gets to the ropes. Naito avoids a lariat by EVIL.  Naito hits Gloria for a two count.   Naito misses a neck breaker.  EVIL lands a senton.   EVIL applies a half Nelson half Tiger suplex on Naito.  EVIL with a big lariat.  Two count.    EVIL went for a TKO which Naito reverses into a modified Destino.  EVIL with Darkness Falls.   Two count.   Togo runs in the ring.  EVIL hits a low blow.   Togo throws chairs in the ring.   EVIL picks up a chair.  Referee gets in EVIL’s face.  Togo chokes out Naito with a piano wire.   Naito frees himself and leg sweeps Togo off the ring apron.   Naito with an ensugiri to EVIL.   Naito hits a flying forearm.  Naito connects with Destino.   Two count.   Naito goes for Destino again.   EVIL reverses the move and hits Everything is Evil.   EVIL pins Naito

Awesome match.  Another must see.   

EVIL and Tetsuya Naito are now tied for the lead in B Block with 10 points each.  Tied for second place with 8 points is Hirooki Goto, SANADA and Zack Sabre Jr.

Tetsuya Naito faces Toru Yano and KENTA in his final two matches.

EVIL faces Hirooki Goto and SANADA in his final two matches.
