Thoughts: One of the things missing from this tournament are storylines for future IWGP Title matches. We know the winner of the tournament will get a shot at the IWGP Champion at Wrestle Kingdom, but we don’t know much about the rest of the titles. As World Tag League and Super Junior 27 is coming soon, I would expect storylines to develop as the G1 Climax 30 comes to an end soon.
