NJPW STRONG REPORT: LION'S BREAK CROWN FINALS, ELIMINATION TAG MATCH, AND MORE

We are in Los Angeles, California and your announcers are Shigeki Kiyono, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Katsuyori Shibata (in Japanese) or Kevin Kelly and Alex Koslov (in English).

Match Number One: Barrett Brown, Adrian Quest, and Fred Rosser versus Blake Christian, Logan Riegel, and Misterioso

Riegel and Brown start things off. They lock up and Riegel with a waist lock and side head lock. Brown with a waist lock and wrist lock. Riegel with a reversal. Brown with a wrist lock take down and Riegel with a leg sweep for a near fall. Riegel misses some kicks but hits a back elbow. Brown with a shoulder tackle. Christian tags in and Brown with a few shoulder tackles. Christian with a forearm but Brown with a clothesline.

Brown gets a near fall. Quest tags in and he kicks Christian. Quest with a suplex and he gets a near fall. Christian with an Irish whip but Quest sends him to the apron. Christian with a kick from the apron and a springboard clothesline. Rosser and Misterioso tag in and Misterioso goes for a shoulder tackle but Rosser stays on his feet. Rosser with a flying shoulder tackle and chops.

Misterioso with a handspring back elbow but misses a splash into the corner. Misterioso floats over and hits a few clotheslines in the corner. Misterioso gets a near fall. Misterioso with a kick and forearms to the back. Misterioso with a double sledge to the back and Riegel tags in and Rosser catches him off the turnbuckles and hits a back breaker.

Rosser with another back breaker and he tosses Riegel aside. Rosser kicks Riegel and goes to the apron. Riegel with elbows and Rosser with a knee followed by a back drop driver onto the apron. Rosser with a head butt. Rosser with a seated splash and he gets a near fall. Rosser gets another near fall. Brown tags in and he punches Riegel in the ribs. Rosser with a punch from the apron and Brown with a kick. Brown with a forearm. Brown with a chop. Riegel with a German suplex and both men are down.

Misterioso and Quest tag in and Quest with a springboard head scissors followed by a springboard cross body for a near fall. Misterioso gets Quest on his shoulders but Quest with a satellite head scissors. Quest send Christian over the top rope to the floor. Misterioso with a power bomb for a near fall. Misterioso with a kick to the back. Christian tags in and he connects with a forearm and chop. Christian with a drop kick for a near fall. Riegel tags in and he punches Quest and hits a suplex. Riegel gets a near fall. Riegel runs Quest into the corner and Misterioso tags in and he punches Quest. Misterioso with a chop. Quest with a satellite DDT and both men are down. Brown tags in and so does Christian. Christian with a flip dive onto Quest and he pulls Rosser off the apron. Christian kicks Brown and goes up top for an elbow drop but misses. Brown with a victory bomb for a near fall. Rosser with a rolling elbow to Misterioso but Misterioso drops down and Rosser goes to the floor. Misterioso with an Asai Moonsault. Quest with a suicide dive to Misterioso.

Riegel is hit with a running boot from Brown. Brown with a waist lock and Christian with elbows and forearms. Brown with a punch to the midsection and Christian with forearms. Brown with a super kick to Christian and Quest. Christian with a standing Spanish Fly and he goes up top and hits a twisting frog splash for the three count.

Winners: Blake Christian, Logan Riegel, and Misterioso

Match Number Two: Clark Connors versus Danny Limelight in the Finals of the Lion’s Break Crown

Connors with a single leg take down into a front face lock. Connors gets a near fall. Limelight with a kick and front face lock. Connors with a wrist lock and take down. Connors with a cross arm breaker but Limelight gets to the ropes. Connors with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Connors tells Limelight to get up and Limelight pushes Connors and hits a drop kick. Limelight with a running forearm into the corner.

Limelight with a head scissors off the turnbuckles and Connors goes to the floor. Limelight with a twisting plancha onto Connors. Connors is sent back into the ring and Limelight goes for a double jump move but Connors catches Limelight and hits a power slam for a near fall. Connors sends Limelight into the turnbuckles and connects with shoulders to the back. Connors with chops and Limelight with a chop. Connors with chops and shoulders in the corner. Connors with a snap mare and double chop to the back.

Connors gets a near fall. Connors with a reverse chin lock followed by a suplex. Connors with a forearm and kick to the back followed by a slam. Limelight blocks a slam and hits a few elbows to the neck. Limelight with a kick but Connors blocks a kick and Connors with a double leg take down and he tries for a Boston Crab but Limelight sends Connors into the ropes.

Limelight with kicks to the chest. Limelight sends Connors into the corner and kicks him. Connors with a forearm to the midsection and back of the head. Limelight with a kick to the leg and a kick to the chest. Connors with a POUNCE to Limelight. Connors misses a splash into the corner and Limelight with a kick. Limelight walks the ropes and hits Meteora. Limelight with a half and half suplex. Limelight lands on his feet on a suplex attempt and Limelight with a dragon sleeper followed by Cross Rhodes for a near fall. Limelight pulls Connors into the corner and kicks him a few times. Limelight goes up top and misses a senton. Limelight leap frogs Connors and hits Back to the Future for a near fall. The referee keeps Limelight back while he checks on Connors. Limelight with a kick to the head for a near fall.

Limelight slaps Connors and he misses a double jump move but he hits a kick to the chest. Connors is put on the turnbuckles and Limelight sets for a superplex but Connors blocks it. Limelight with an elbow to the head and Connors with a European uppercut but Limelight lands on his feet. Connors knocks Limelight off the turnbuckles and Connors with a spear from the turnbuckles.

Connors with a Boston Crab and Limelight tries to get to the ropes. Connors pulls Limelight into the center of the ring and he leans back and Limelight taps out.

Winner: Clark Connors

After the match, Connors is given his trophy.

Kevin mentions the next tour for New Japan Strong. We will have the Never tour with a mix of the top heavyweights and junior heavyweights under the Never division.

Match Number Three: Karl Fredericks, ACH, TJP, Rocky Romero, Jeff Cobb, and David Finlay versus Hikuleo, Chase Owens, Tanga Loa, Tama Tonga, KENTA, and Jay White

Owens and Fredericks start things off. Owens with a kick and forearms followed by a side head lock. Hikuleo holds Fredericks but Karl kicks Owens and everyone on the Bullet Club tries to eliminate Fredericks but his partners make the save. Owens is backed against the ropes and he holds on as everyone brawls.

Romero kicks Owens while everyone else battles to the floor. Fredericks with forearms and a slam. Fredericks with a leaping elbow drop for a near fall. Romero tags in and he kicks Owens in the ribs. Romero with a punch to the head and White yells at the referee for buying the fake out by Romero. Romero with a punch and White with a knee to the back.

Tama tags in and he rakes the back. Tama with another back rake. Tama with a nerve hold and the referee warns Tama. Tama sends Romero into the turnbuckles and Loa tags in. He kicks Romero and tags in Hikuleo. Hikuleo chops Romero while Loa holds Rocky. Hikuleo with a running power slam for a near fall. Hikuleo knocks eveyrone off the apron and he sends Romero into the turnbuckles. Hikuleo with an elbow in the corner and KENTA tags in.

KENTA with a chop. Owens tags in and Romero with forearms. Owens with a single leg take down and he sends Romero into the turnbuckles followed by a chop. White tags in and hits a back elbow for a near fall. White with a knee to the back and a rear chin lock. White with a front face lock. Romero with elbows but White with a neck breaker for a near fall. White grabs Romero by the ears and connects with a knee. Romero with an uppercut as White charges into the corner. Romero lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex attempt but White keeps Romero from making a tag. Romero with an inside cradle for a near fall. Romero with a rollup for a near fall. White with a chop. Romero drops down and White goes to the apron but holds on and hits Romero with a forearm. White goes after someone on the apron and Romero sends White over the top rope to the floor.

Jay White Eliminated

White with forearms after he is eliminated and the referee tells him to leave. White gets a chair and Romero with a head scissors to Loa. ACH tags in and he connects with a forearm. ACH misses a leg sweep and Loa shows ACH his shirt, but ACH with a drop kick. ACH is sent to the apron and he connects with a forearm. ACH goes for a springboard move but he is pushed off the apron to the floor.

ACH Eliminated

Fredericks with forearms to Loa but Loa with an Irish whip and clothesline. Jay White joins Kevin and Alex on commentary as Fredericks eliminates Loa with a clothesline over the top rope.

Tanga Loa Eliminated

Tama sends Fredericks to the apron and tries to kick him to the floor but Fredericks holds on to the ropes. Tama with punches and Fredericks with a forearm. Fredericks with forearms and a back breaker. Ferdericks misses a splash into the corner and Tama hits Gun Stun for the three count.

Karl Fredericks eliminated

Cobb comes into the ring and Tama goes for Gun Stun on him but Cobb blocks it and drops Tama over the top rope to the floor.

Tama Tonga Eliminated

Hikuleo enters and he exchanges forearms with Cobb. Hikuleo grabs Cobb by the throat but Cobb escapes. Cobb with a chop and forearm. Cobb goes for a slam but Hikuleo escapes. Cobb misses a chop on KENTA and the distraction allows Hikuleo to send Cobb over the top rope to the floor.

Jeff Cobb Eliminated

Romero and TJP attack Hikuleo and try to eliminate him but Owens gets involved. Romero with infinity clotheslines with some help from TJP. Hikuleo blocks a double suplex attempt and he gives Romero and TJP a double suplex. Hikuleo clotheslines Romero over the top rope to the floor.

Rocky Romero Eliminated

Hikuleo with an Irish whip and TJP with a head scissors attempt. Hikuleo with a kick to the head and he sends TJP over the top rope but TJP skins the cat and eliminates Hikuleo with a head scissors to the floor.

Hikuleo Eliminated

Hikuleo pulls TJP to the floor after he is eliminated.

TJP Eliminated

TJP and Hikuleo continue to fight to the back. Owens and KETNA come in to face Finlay. Owens and KENTA kick Finlay. KENTA with a snap mare and kick to the back. KENTA gets a near fall. Finlay is sent into the turnbuckles and Owens tags in and kicks Finlay. Owens sends Finlay into the turnbuckles and follows with an irish whip and forearm. Owens gets a near fall. KENTA tags in and he hits Finlay with a forearm while Owens holds Finlay. KENTA with a punch and knee drops. KENTA pulls down the shin pad and leaps over Finlay’s head and hits him with a back heel kick. KENTA backs Finlay into the turnbuckles.

Owens tags in and Finlay with punches and a European uppercut. Finlay with a European uppercut to Owens. KENTA holds Finlay and Owens accidentally hits KENTA. Owens with a boot to Finlay and he holds Finlay for KENTA and KENTA with a running boot that knocks Owens off the apron when Finlay moves.

Chase Owens Eliminated

Finlay with a cutter and he sends KENTA over the top rope to the floor.

KENTA Eliminated

Winners: Karl Fredericks, ACH, TJP, Rocky Romero, Jeff Cobb and David Finlay (David Finlay Sole Survivor)

After the match, Finlay celebrates in the ring while Owens checks on KENTA.

David Finlaysays it feels good when 12 people enter a match and you are the last man standing. His team followed the plan and it is one of the good guys. KENTA has a briefcase with a contract that he really wants. I want a shot at that briefcase. Tell me when and where.
