AEW DARK TV REPORT

 

Time for another edition of AEW "at least Cory gets commercial breaks" Dark.  Excalibur, Taz and Ricky Starks are on the call tonight.

Kenzie Paige vs. Brandi Rhodes w/ Brandi

Brandi is without her action figure.  Lockup, Paige shoved Brandi off.  Side headlock by Brandi and a shoulder block.  Hip toss and arm drags into an armbar by Rhodes.  Back elbow and a side kick for 2 by Brandi. Paige with a kick to the knee and a dropkick for 1.  PAige rains down forearms and a right elbow.  Snap mare into a sleeperhold by Paige.  Brandi with elbows and forearms.  Clothesline and a sling blade by Rhodes.  Running  bulldog for 2 by Brandi.  Kenzi with forearms.  Rhodes blocks and hits a stunner a shot of Brandi for the pin.

WINNER: Brandi Rhodes

Anna Jay immediately attacks Brandi and starts laying the boots until Red Velvet makes the save.

Ray Rosas & Eric Watts vs. Jurassic Express w/ Marko Stunt

Rosas with a single leg and a missed elbow on Perry.  Perry with an armdrag.  Arm twist and Luchasaurus tags in.  Rosas with a chop but Luchasaurus beats him in the corner and Jungle Boy tags in.  Assisted senton for 2 by Jungle Boy.  Rosas with a tilt a whirl back breaker for 1.  Watts tags in and picks up PErry by the throat into a fallaway slam.  CLubbing forearms to the back by Watts.  Another fallaway by Watts and Rosas tags in.    Small package by Perry for 2 and tags in Luchasaurus.  He goes to work but can't knocks Watts off the apron.  Watts breaks up the pin.  Watts and Luchasaurus exchange strikes, including a Luchasaurus headbut but an back elbow by Rosas for 2.  Jungle Boy takes Watts to the outside.  Boot to the face by Luchasaurus for 2.  Jungle Boy tags in.  Watts pulls Luchasaurus out and they exchange.  Rosas trips PErry on the middle rope and rolls him up for 2.  Powerbomb/chokeslam combo for 2 by Watts.  Rosas tags in.  Luchasaurus gets the bling tag, Perry hits the assisted cutter on Rosas for the pin.  Despite the loss, an excellent showing for Watts and Rosas.

WINNERS: Jurassic Express

We get a commercial for 30 years of Jericho.  Jericho talks up his past with Luther, hyping up the Jericho & Hager vs. Luther & Serpentico match tomorrow on Dynamite.

Anthony Bowens & Lee Johnson vs. Serpentico and Luther

Johnson grabs a headlock on Serpentico.  Luther clotheslines Johnson from behind and they beat down Bowens.  Dropkick by Johnson.  Bowens tags in, he misses a sunset flip but comes right back with a double stomp.  Johnson tags in and they hit a double suplex for 2.  Rollup bySerpentico and a kick to the face.  Luther tags in and hits a body slam.  Serpentico tags in and Luther suplexes him onto Johnson.  Luther tags in and rains forearms.  Face gouging by Luther.  Luther misses a kick and Johnson gets a sunset for 1.  Forearm to the nose by Luther.  Back elbow by Luther.  Snap suplex and then Serpentico tags in.  Johnson fires back and makes the tag.  Bowen with a pair of clothesline and he nails a swinging DDT to Serpentico and hits Luther with a dropkick.  Torture rack slam by Bowens for 2.  Johnson comes in and Luther and Serpentico take care of him.  Serpentico off the ropes with double knees on Bowens while Luther has him elevated for the pin.

WINNERS: Serpentico and Luther

Will Hobbs vs Ryzin

Clothesline by Hobbs and rams Ryzin into seperate corners.  Suplex by Hobbs, Ryzin begs off.  Ryzin with a kick and clothesline to no effect.  Running shoulder tackle by Hobbs.  Hobbs with a powerslam and a spinebuster for the pin.

WINNER: Will Hobbs

Eddie Kingston cuts a promo on Sonny Kiss and Joey Janela.

John 4 Silver vs. QT Marshall w/Dustin Rhodes

Lockup and a go behind takedown by QT.  Hammerlock by Silver, Marshall counters with a headscissors and a headlock takedown.  Right to the midsection by Silver.  Marshall with a back elbow.  Silver counters with one of his own off of a missed charge.  Silver runs into a suplex for 2.  Evil Uno causes a distraction and Silver with a running tackle sends QT from the ring.  Silver throws QT into the barricades and hits a chop and sends MArshall back in.  Right hands by Marshall, Silver reverses a whip into the corner and nails a clothesline for 2.  Kicks by Silver, Marshall wants more but Silver rolls through into a crossface, Marshall makes the ropes.  Marshall kicks Silver off and they exchange rights.  QT catches Silver on the apron and hits a big superplex.  They exchange elbows but a pump kick by Silver, Marshall with a clothesline and a back flying elbow off the top.  Tilt a whirl for 2 by Marshall.  Enziguiri by Silver, followed by a German suplex and a kick to the face for 2.  Marshall with a backbreaker facedrop combo, Dustin and Evil Uno brawl, distracting the referee, allowing the other Dark Order members to try nd interfere.  Silver hits a spinning torture rack for the pin.

WINNER: John "4" Silver

Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr vs. Cezar Bononi and David Ali

Pillman and Bonani stare down but it's Ali who comes in and they lock up.  Dropkick by Pillman, Garrison tags in.  He hits an arm twist and tags Pillman, who comes off the ropes with an axehandle.  Garrison tags in and he hits a springboard legdrop.  Kneelify by Ali, tags in to Bononi.  Bonani takes him down with a tackle, Pillman tags in. Leg kicks by Pillman but Bononi shoves him down.  More leg kicks by Pillman, this angers Bononi.  Bononi with a spinebuster, he can't go for the pin as he's limping.  Ali tags in and he nails right hands, a snap mare and a series of kicks.  Pillman gets a rollup for 2.  Ali chokes Pillman on the bottom rope, Bonani comes in and hits a running powerslam into the corner for 2.  Bonani tries again but Pillman escapes and get the hot tag to Garrison.  He goes to work on both, highlighted by throwing Ali into a spear.  Pillman tags in and he and Garrison nail a powerbomb/clothesline combination for the pin and their first win as a team.

WINNERS: Brian Pillman Jr and Griff Garrison

Skyler Moore vs. Big Swole

Lockup, forearm by Moore.  Another lockup, Moore backs things up and shoves Swole.  Swole shoves and down goes Moore.  Swole with a backhand, but Moore with aforearm and elbowstrike.  Moore with stomps to the back of the head for 1.  Bodyslam by Moore for 1.  Swole blocks a suplex and snap suplexes her.  Running back elbow by Swole and a head butt.  Running uppercut a roundhouse kick.  Ripcord cutter and the Dirty Dancing clothesline for the pin.

WINNER: Big Swole

We get some words from Matt Sydal, who blames Michael Nakazawa for oiling up the ropes at All Out, causing him to slip off the ropes in the battle royal

Matt Sydal vs. Michael Nakazawa

This will likely not resemble Sydal's recent first round match in the ROH Pure tournament.  Nakazawa oils up the ring ropes.  Sydal gets the early edge but realizes he can't climb the ropes and dries it off.  Nakazawa squirts oil to make Sydal slip. He rips his thong underwear off and applies the claw.  Sydal reverses into a Russian LEg Sweep to a crossface and Nakazawa taps out.

WINNER: Matt Sydal

M'Badu vs. Eddie Kingston

KIngston with a kick to the midsection and a series of chops.  M'Badu reserves a whip to the bucks and a splash.  Kingston rakes the eyes but a powerslam by M'Badu for 2.  Knee to the midsection and a backfist for 2 (Kingston pulled him up).  Kingston applies the Kimura and M'Badu taps out.

WINNER: Eddie Kingston

Kingston grabs the mic and addresses the camera.  He references Josh Barnett.  He essentially challenges Moxley before raining down the insults.  I think we're getting an I Quit Match.

We get some pre match words from Sonny Kiss and Joey Janela

Shawn Dean vs. Angelico w/Jack Evans

Wrist lock by Angelico, Dean reverses but Angelico regains control.   Front facelock by Evans into a dropkick.  evans with a go behind, Angelico reverses and nails a leg kick from behind.  Kneebar by Angelico but Evans gets to the ropes.  Dean fires back but Angelico with a snap mare and a kick for 2.  Angelico locks the arms and digs his finger into the traech.   To their feet, Dean with a forearm and a clotheslines.  German suplex by Dean.  Running dropkick by Dean.  He goes for a double underhook but Angelico with a kick to the leg and a reverse kneebar and Dean taps out.

WINNER: Angelico

Sonny Kiss & Joey Janela vs. The Lucha Brothers w/ Eddie Kingston

Sonny & Joey with suicide dives but the Lucha Bros quickly recover.  Fenix with a dropkick and a double stomp by Penta to the nether regions of Janela for 2.  Janela gets the tag and Sonny and Kiss with a dropkick.  Joey tags in and he and Sonny hit a double hip toss and a moonsault by Kiss for 2.  This is insane action through and through.  Kazadora for 2 by Fenix.  Joey is in trouble.  Big kick by Fenix.  Somewhere on this show, Ricky Starks left the booth.  Rollup by Janela for 2.  Penta with a huge chop, Fenix mocks Janela.  Janela excapes a package piledrver and gets the tag.  Dropsauly and fallaway suplex by Kiss.  Kiss with a running dropkick.  Sonny with a 450 for 2.  All four are brawling.  Kiss with a series of spin kicks and a clotheline, Penta is down.  Penta with a superkick.  Assisted piledriver and The Lucha Bros score the pin on Janela.

WINNERS: The Lucha Brothers
