Former WWE star Jack "Gallagher" Claffey issued the following statement this afternoon, commenting for the first time on the allegations that led to his WWE release:

Gallagher's June 2020 WWE release came after allegations were made that he was involved in an alleged sexual assault over New Year's Eve 2014 prior to his WWE run. A woman named Becky came forward online to state that during a New Year's Eve party, Gallagher allegedly kept plying her with alcohol and then allegedly tried to accost her in a bathroom. After making the accusation, the woman later posted screenshots of Gallagher reaching out to the host of the party, claiming he was unaware of the accusations until they were made publicly, had no memory of the situation and wanted to reach out to apologize to her.
WWE announced his release the same day.
