WWE NXT UK REPORT: HERITAGE CUP BEGINS

We are in London, England and your announcers are Andy Shepherd and Nigel McGuinness.

Match Number One: Amir Jordan versus Kenny Williams versus Ashton Smith in a Wild Card Match for the NXT UK Heritage Cup

Smith locks up with Williams and then with Jordan to go to a stalemate. Jordan and Williams want Smith to join for a wrist lock and Smith with a knee to avoid a double clothesline. Jordan and Williams with a double drop kick to send Smith to the floor. Williams with a snap mare and Jordan does some dancing. Williams with an arm wringer and he gets a near fall with an O’Connor Roll. Jordan with a rollup on Williams for a near fall.

Smith with a double clothesline and a forearm to Williams’ back. Smith with an Irish whip of Williams into Jordan in the corner. Jordan with a sunset flip on Smith and Williams breaks it up and gets a near fall on Jordan. Williams kicks Smith and Jordan wants to know what is going on. Smith with forearms to Jordan and Williams. Jordan with a cross body for a near fall. Smith sends Jordan into Williams and Smith slams Williams. Smith with a suplex to Jordan for a near fall.

Williams with forearms to Smith and Smith goes to the floor when Williams leap frogs him. Williams with a springboard drop kick to knock Smith off the apron. Williams with a drop kick through the ropes and then he goes for a pescado but Smith catches Williams. Jordan with a suicide dive onto Williams and Smith.

Jordan gets a few near falls on Smith. Smith with a drop kick to Jordan followed by a forearm to the back. Smith knocks Williams off the apron. Smith with a European uppercut and Jordan with a forearm. Smith punches and kicks Jordan in the corner. Smith knocks Williams off the apron. Smith puts Jordan on the turnbuckles and sets for a superplex. Jordan with forearms and Williams gets on the apron and Smith knocks him down.

Jordan with forearms to the back and he tries for a sunset flip power bomb but Smith holds on to the ropes. Williams with a drop kick off the turnbuckles and Jordan gets a near fall on Smith. Williams with a double stomp to Smith and he sends Jordan to the floor. Williams with a kick to the knee and then he uses Jordan’s leg to kick Smith. Smith with an elbow to Jordan and a forearm to Williams.

Williams with a bicycle kick but Smith with a European uppercut and Williams comes off the ropes and hits Jordan with a clothesline. Smith with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Jordan with a rollup on Smith followed by an enzuigiri. Smith sends Jordan to the apron. Jordan goes for a rolling move from the apron and hits a flatliner for a near fall. Williams with a forearm to Jordan and Jordan fires back.

They go back and forth and Williams with a kick and slaps. Jordan with an O’Connor Roll but Smith sends Jordan to the floor. Williams with a head butt to the midsection and Williams comes off the ropes and Smith catches him. Williams with a rana for a near fall. Smith sends Williams face first to the mat and then he gets Williams on his shoulders for a Death Valley Bomb and Jordan with a swanton to break up the cover. Jordan gets a near fall on Smith.

Jordan rolls into a super kick and Williams with a tornado DDT for the three count.

Winner: Kenny Williams (advances to Heritage Cup to face Trent Seven)

Eddie Dennis says that Stephen Hawking said that intelligence is the ability to adapt to change. NXT UK has changed and I was adapting. My mind is a machine that is always processing.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at Mark Andrews’ injury from earlier in the year.

Mark and Flash arrive in the building and Flash is asked about the Heritage Cup. Flash says he is excited to get in there and show what European wrestling is all about. Andrews says this is the way to get back on top after a bad start to 2020.

Match Number Two: Jinny versus Xia Brookside

They lock up and Jinny with a wrist lock and Xia escapes. Jinny applauds the escape. Jinny with a side head lock and Xia escapes. They lock up and Xia with an arm drag into an arm bar. Xia with a wrist lock and Jinny with a reversal. Xia uses the ropes to reverse the hold and she sends Jinny to the mat. Xia with a drop kick and Jinny goes into the ropes and she punches Xia behind the referee’s back. Jinny with a back breaker for a near fall.

Jinny with a forearm to the back and she slams Xia’s head into the mat. Jinny with a hard Irish whip. Jinny runs Xia’s face across the top rope. Xia kicks Jinny and hits a head scissors take down. Xia goes for a monkey flip but Jinny blocks it. Xia with a monkey flip but Jinny with a slap. Xia with an Irish whip and forearm in the corner. Xia with a rollup. Xia with another rollup for a near fall. Xia kicks Jinny in the hamstring and applies an Indian Death Lock. Jinny pushes Xia and Xia with forearms as she maintains a mount position.

Jinny kicks Xia and Jinny tries to slap Xia but misses. Xia kicks Jinny in the hamstring. Jinny gets to the ropes and Jinny punches Xia and gets a near fall. Jinny sends Xia into the turnbuckles and she gets a near fall. Xia with a jaw breaker and hits a head scissors take down. Xia with a running double knee strike to the back. Jinny with an elbow and Xia with a forearm. Xia puts Jinny on the turnbuckles. Jinny kicks Xia away and goes to the apron. Jinny grabs Xia by the hair and jumps on the apron and drops Xia across the top rope. Jinny with an STF to force Xia to tap out.

Winner: Jinny

After the match, Jinny says for far too long she has been playing nice in NXT UK. You haven’t seen anywhere near the best of Jinny yet. If you thought I was ruthless before, you are about to see a whole new side of Jinny. Bow down and witness the queen of NXT UK.

Next week’s Heritage Cup Tournament match will be Flash Morgan Webster versus A-Kid.

We have a video package for A-Kid. He says we will see what European wrestling is about and he is proud to be part of this tournament. He wants to inspire. He says he has been training for this his whole life. He will show that he can adapt to any style. If he has to strike he will. If he has to tap someone out, he will. If he has to fly, he will. He wants to show that any wrestler from Spain can be as good as anyone else in the world.

Match Number Three: Noam Dar versus Alexander Wolfe in a First Round Match in the NXT UK Heritage Cup

Round One

Dar has a kick blocked and Wolfe with a take down. Dar with a front face lock but Wolfe with a reversal. Dar escapes and backs into the ropes. They go to a Greco Roman knuckle lock and Wolfe with a head lock. Dar with a wrist lock and front face lock and take down. Wolfe with a front face lock but Dar with an arm bar. They lock up and Wolfe with a hammer lock and a chin lock. Wolfe with a side head lock.

Wolfe with a cravate but Dar escapes and gives Wolfe a snap mare but Wolfe with a hammer lock into a double wrist lock. Dar with an arm bar. Dar with a snap mare and Wolfe with a hammer lock. Wolfe with a front face lock and Dar with a wrist lock. Dar with a snap mare and back heel kick as the round ends.

Round Two

Wolfe goes for the legs and Dar with a front face lock. Dar with a take down and wrist lock. Wolfe with a chin lock but Dar stomps on the foot. Dar stomps on the other foot and takes Wolfe to the mat and gets a near fall. Dar with punches and he backs Wolfe into the corner. Wolfe with a waist lock and fireman’s carry into a head lock and he tries to get Dar’s shoulders down and he gets a near fall.

Dar gets back to his feet and he applies a straitjacket choke. Wolfe with a snap mare and side head lock take down. Dar with a kick and Wolfe with an Irish whip. Dar with a head butt to the midsection and he spins Wolfe around and gets a back slide for a near fall. Dar with a rollup for a three count.

Dar 1 Fall, Wolfe 0 Falls

Round Three

Wolfe goes for the leg but Dar goes into the corner. Wolfe with a take down and he gets a near fall. Wolfe with a cravate and a front face lock. Dar with a leg sweep and take down but Wolfe with a rear chin lock. Dar with an elbow to the knee and Wolfe grabs the hair. Wolfe with kicks to the head and Dar with a rollup for a near fall.

Wolfe with a rollup for a near fall. Wolfe holds on to the front face lock and suplexes Dar for a near fall. Wolfe holds on to the front face lock. Dar escapes and stands on Wolfe’s hand while connecting with an elbow. Dar with a surfboard and Wolfe reverses. Wolfe with a clean break. Dar with a kick to the chest and Wolfe with a forearm. They exchange punches until the round ends.

After the round ends, Wolfe punches Dar and the referee warns Wolfe.

Round Four

Dar is still down after the post round punch but Dar with a kick to Wolfe. Dar with a running boot into the corner and a running forearm to the back of the head for a near fall. Dar sets for the Nova Roller but Wolfe kicks Dar and hits a bicycle kick and German suplex for a three count.

Dar 1 Fall, Wolfe 1 Fall

Round Five

Wolfe misses a bicycle kick and then Wolfe with a swinging brainbuster for a near fall. Wolfe with a waist lock but Dar blocks a German suplex. Dar with kicks and he takes Wolfe to the mat for a Omoplata but Wolfe rolls Dar up for a near fall.

Dar with a Fujiwara arm bar but Wolfe escapes and applies a triangle clutch. Dar with a rollup for a near fall. Dar with a kick to the arm and leg. Wolfe with an elbow to the leg. Dar with a kick and Wolfe with a European uppercut. Dar with a head butt for a near fall. Dar with a Fujiwara arm bar. Wolfe with a rollup for a near fall. Wolfe with a clothesline and a body scissors and knee bar. Dar pulls at Wolfe’s fingers to get out of the hold. Wolfe with a European uppercut and Dar with a rollup but he holds the ropes and Dunne kicks the arm. Dar with a Nova Roller for the three count.

Winner: Noam Dar (Advances to second round to face winner of A-Kidd versus Flash Morgan Webster)

After the match, Dar wants Dunne to raise his hand but Dunne refuses.

Wolfe blames Dunne for the loss and Dunne with kicks to Wolfe and he stomps Wolfe in the chest and sets for the X Plex but WALTER comes to the ringside area and Dunne releases the hold.

WALTER gets on the apron and he enters the ring but Wolfe hits Dunne from behind. Wolfe punches Dunne. Wolfe gives Dunne to WALTER and WALTER is about to power bomb Dunne but Ilja Dragunov comes out and Dunne with a kick to Wolfe and Dragunov sends Wolfe to the floor. WALTER is knocked off the apron.
