Opening Match:
1. Yota Tsuji vs. Gabriel Kidd
Both men fought to a time limit draw. Interesting result. A draw does not happen often.
B Block Tournament Matches:
2. Juice Robinson vs. Toru Yano
Yano sprays the hand sanitizer in the eyes of Juice from his spray bottle which he carries to the ring. Yano rolls him up for a two count. Juice blindly walks around ringside. Juice finds a bottle of water to wash his eyes out. Yano slides out of the ring and is met with a bottle of water in the head. Juice takes Yano's spray bottle and empties the contents into Yano's face. Yano rolls back in the ring and is writhing on the mat trying to clean his eyes. Juice throws Yano in a corner and nails him with punches and kicks. Yano tries to unbuckle the pad in the corner but Juice stops him and re-ties the pad on the corner. Yano runs to the opposite corner and removes the turnbuckle pad. He tries to hit Juice but Juice takes the pad away. Yano leaves the ring and heads up the entry way. Juice, at first, refuses to follow. Juice gets mad and follows Yano. Yano hits a reverse atomic drop and pulls out tape and starts binding Juice's ankles together. Yano walks back to the ring, expecting a count out win. Juice hops his way back to the ring before the count out. Juice is literally hopping mad and chases Yano. Yano runs in a circle around the ring but Juice cannot catch him. Yano kicks him in the stomach. Juice ducks a punch and hits a full nelson slam on Yano. Juice frees himself from the tape. Juice tries to attack Yano but Yano grabs the referee. Juice hits the Left Hand of God. He goes for Pulp Friction. Yano escapes and drops down attempting a school boy pin. Juice drops to his knees, grabs Yano's feet, and pins him for the win.
Fun match. This victory brings Juice to a tie for the lead of B Block with Tetsuya Naito and Toru Yano with 6 points each. The placement of this match on the card was perfect.
3. Hirooki Goto vs. Zack Sabre Jr.
Goto still has the taped shoulder. ZSJ went after it immediately locking in a shoulder submission. Goto was screaming and got to the ropes. The referee tried to separate the two but ZSJ attacked Goto with kick strikes to the shoulder and upper body. The referee got shoved by ZSJ across the ring, which caused gasps by the announcers and the crowd. The referee recovered and separated both men. Goto, favoring his ring shoulder, fought back with left hand chops. But ZSJ locked in a octopus lock stretching Goto's shoulder. The pace begins to pick up. Goto hits a lariat and a ushigoroshi. Goto nails a kick to the chest. He sets up ZSJ for a GTR. ZSJ drops down and rolls up Goto in a European Clutch. Zack Sabre Jr. gets the pin and two points.
Short match but fine for what it was. Goto may be really hurt, which explains the shorter length of the match.
4. Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. YOSHI-HASHI
Both men trade armlocks at the outset of the match. They are careful not to make a mistake. YOSHI-HASHI gets the advantage by blocking a Tanahashi kick and hitting a leg whip. He attacks Tanahashi's leg with submissions. Tanahashi fought back and hit a leg whip on YOSHI-HASHI. Tanahashi with a senton from the second rope. Pace of the match starts to pick up. Tanahashi avoids a standing neckbreaker, but YOSHI-HASHI connects with a spin kick, a super kick, then a sit down powerbomb. YOSHI-HASHI gets a two count. Tanahashi hits a Geman suplex. Both wrestlers start brawling. YOSHI-HASHI hits a lariat and applies the Butterfly Lock. Crowd cheers Tanahashi to get to the ropes. YOSHI-HASHI adds a Hammerlock to the Butterfly Lock. Tanahashi screams and pulls himself closer to the ropes. He almost reached the ropes, until YOSHI-YASHI transitioned into a sleeper, then hit a backcracker. YOSHI-HASHI went for Karma, but Tanahashi reversed it into Twist and Shout. Tanahashi hit two leg whips, then went for the Texas Cloverleaf. YOSHI-HASHI rolled him into a small package for a two count. YOSHI-HASHI tried to apply the Butterfly Lock again, but fought it off. Tanahashi with a roll up for a two count. Another leg whip on YOSHI-HASHI. YOSHI-HASHI with a Half Nelson Suplex and a double knee strike to the face for a two count. YOSHI-HASHI hit a Bunker Buster for a CLOSE two count. YOSHI-HASHI goes for Karma but Tanahashi gets free. Tanahashi hits a Slingblade. Tanahashi hits a High Fly Flow on a standing YOSHI-HASHI. Tanahashi hits a second High Fly Flow for a pinfall win.
Great match. Both men looked great in this hard battle. Tanahashi had positive words with YOSHI-HASHI after the match.
5. KENTA vs. EVIL, with Dick Togo
Two of the newest Bullet Club members facing each other. KENTA played cat and mouse, by rolling out of the ring refusing to lock up. EVIL caught him with a kick. KENTA came back with a kick of his own and the match spilled to the floor. KENTA kicks EVIL on the floor with Togo looking to interfere. Back in the ring, KENTA stomps EVIL and hits a neckbreaker and a DDT. KENTA with a two count. Togo pulls KENTA out of the ring by the ankles and EVIL takes advantage by wrapping KENTA's left arm in a chair and slamming it into a ringpost. EVIL works over the left arm and throws him into the turnbuckle. EVIL applies an arm submission and twists KENTA's fingers. KENTA makes the ropes and gets a break. KENTA hits two mafia kicks to EVIL's head and hits a powerslam. A series of kicks by KENTA with a Fisherman Buster. Two count. KENTA drops EVIL throat first on the top rope and hits a clothesline from the top rope. Two count. KENTA attempts a draping DDT but EVIL drops KENTA's arm on the top rope. EVIL throws KENTA into the corner, hits a running lariat, and a Fisherman Buster. Two count by EVIL. Red Shoes gets smashed between the two wrestlers and falls out of the ring. KENTA drops EVIL with a DDT. KENTA tells Togo to help him. KENTA goes out of the ring and Togo approaches him. KENTA takes his IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship briefcase at ringside and bashes Togo in the head. EVIL recovers but eats a kick from KENTA. KENTA blasts EVIL in the head with the briefcase. KENTA hits a double stomp from the top rope, then hits a Psycho Knee. Two count only. EVIL picks up KENTA and hits Darkness Falls. Two count. Lariat by EVIL for a two count. Slap strikes by KENTA. KENTA tries for GTS, but Togo gets up on the apron. KENTA throws Togo in the ring. KENTA is about to hit GTS on Togo, when he is hit by a low blow from EVIL. KENTA gets hit with Everything is Evil. EVIL gets the pinfall win.
Interesting results. Where does KENTA rank now in the Bullet Club hierarchy? Is EVIL now the leader of Bullet Club? Does EVIL want the IWGP U.S Heavyweight Title? It will be fun to see how this all plays out.
6. Tetsuya Naito vs. SANADA
Great wrestling to start. Both men know each other so well. Naito takes the match to the outside and batters SANADA on the guardrails. Naito follows up with attacks ending with Combinacion de Cabron. SANADA rebounds with a dropkick which sends Naito to the outside, followed by a Plancha. Naito regains the advantage with a dropkick to the back of SANADA's head. He attacks the back of SANDA with kicks and throwing him into the turnbuckle. SANADA hits a Magic Killer off the top rope. Naito hits a tornado DDT off the top rope. In the corner, Naito was punching SANADA. Naito set him up for top rope huricanrana. SANADA slid out and dropkicked Naito in the rear. Naito went headfirst into the steel post. SANADA scaled the ropes, hooked Naito around the neck, and drove him down onto his knee. Nasty spot! SANADA hit a Tiger Suplex. Two count. SANADA went for Skull End. Naito rolled out of the hold and hit a Spinebuster. They charged at each other and Naito started laying in multiple forearm smashes to the neck of SANADA. Naito hit a huricanrana from the top rope. Naito went for Gloria. SANADA reversed him into Skull End. Naito reversed out and hit Esperanza. Naito attempted Destino which SANADA turned into a TKO. They started throwing elbows at each other. SANADA catches Naito in Skull End. He spins him around and clamps his legs around Naito. Naito was blacking out. SANADA releases the hold to attempt a moonsault. Naito rolls out of the way and SANADA smacks the mat. Naito attempts a Destino which he messed up and SANADA locked in Skull End. Naito reverses out and hits Destino for real. Two count. Naito tries for a third Destino but SANADA turns back into Skull End. Naito reverses into a suplex. SANADA knees him in the head. Naito looks stunned. Naito hits a jumping kick. He tries for Valentia but SANADA turns it into a reversed DDT. SANADA connects with a moonsault on Naito's lower back. SANADA hits another moonsault and pins Naito. SANADA earns his first points in the G1!
Great match! SANADA raised his first for the Los Ingobernales de Japon Salute. Naito saluted him back.
