We see footage of Candice LeRae attacking Tegan Nox and Nox is holding her knee..
Match Number One: Number One Contender Battle Royal for the NXT Women's Championship at Takeover (featuring Xia Li, Kacy Catanzaro, Kayden Carter, Raquel Gonzalez, Aliyah, Indi Hartwell, Shotzi Blackheart, Tegan Nox, Rhea Ripley, Carolina, Gia, Marina Shafir, Emily, Ellie, Rita, Raven, Candice LeRae, and Dakota Kai)
They pair off and Cross with kicks to Kai and Catanzaro joins in. Ripley eliminates Gia. Hartwell and Ripley battle in the corner. Aliyah with kicks to Ripley. Raven is eliminated by Gonzalez. Aliyah hangs on to the top rope to avoid being eliminated by Shotzi. Carter holds on to the ropes. Ripley eliminates Ellie. Aliyah tries to send Li to the apron but she holds on. Ripley with knees to Shafir and Shafir is sent to the apron by Ripley. Ripley pulls Shafir into the ropes and then she is eliminated. Gonzalez with another elimination. Gonzalez kicks another participant to the floor to eliminate them. Rita goes for a cross arm breaker but Gonzalez eliminates her with one arm.
Gonzalez with a forearm and kicks. Ripley sends Emily to the apron and then Ripley kicks her off the apron to eliminate her. Gonzelez and Catalina with forearms to each other. Catalina is eliminated by Gonzalez. Ripley picks up Aliyah and runs her into the corner. Li chokes Kai but she stays in the ring. Gonzalez tries to eliminate Hartwell. Catanzaro is knocked to the floor but her feet do not hit the floor so she rolls back into the ring to save herself.
Li with a forearm to Carter. Aliyah battles with Catanzaro. Gonzalez picks up Shotzi and sends her to the apron but Shotzi rolls back into the ring. Ripley pie faces Aliyah and Aliyah climbs on Rhea's back and Rhea sends Aliyah to the apron and then she punches Aliyah off the apron and Stone cannot catch her. Ripley with a front face lock to LeRae. Kai and Gonzalez try to eliminate Shotzi but she stays in the ring. Carter and Li exchange strikes. Li puts Carte ron the top rope but Carter eliminates Li and Carter returns to the ring.
Shotzi kicks Gonzalez and Kai from the mat. Hartwell kicks Ripley in the corner. Gonzalez tries to eliminate Shotzi but she holds on to the ropes and rolls back into the ring. LeRae hangs in the ropes. Ripley picks up Kai. Shotzi holds on to the ropes while Candice tries to eliminate her. Hartwell sends Catanzaro off the apron but Kacy hangs on to the guardrails. Catanzaro gets to the ring steps but Hartwell kicks Catanzaro off the apron but she lands on the guardrails again. Carter kicks Gonzalez. Carter tries to help Catanzaro but Gonzalez eliminates Carter. Carter helps Catanzaro back to the apron and back into the ring.
We are down to Rhea Ripley, Raquel Gonzalez, Kacy Catanzaro,Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, Dakota Kai, and Shotzi Blackheart.
Gonzalez and Ripley exchange punches and Ripley misses a kick. Gonzalez gets Ripley on her shoulders and both women go over the top rope to the floor. They have to be separated.Shotzie sends Candice to the apron but she tries to hold on to the ropes like a rotisserie chicken from Costco. Catanzaro wtih a springboard move and she sends Hartwell over the top rope to eliminate her. Kai attacks Kacy and Candice wants to help with an elbow.
Kai with a running boot and Catanzaro is not able to use the ringside furniture to help her.
We are down to the final three and it is Shotzi Blackheart, Candice LeRae, and Dakota Kai.
Kai misses a kick and is eliminated by Shotzi. Candice holds on to the ropes and she kicks Shotzi. Shotzi with a boot and wraparound bulldog. Candice lands on the apron and Candice with a shoulder. Shotzi with an enzuigiri. Candice with a neck breaker and she sends Shotzi to the apron. Shotzi with a kick and then Shotzi returns to the ring and goes to the turnbuckles. Candice stops Shotzi but Shotzi with forearms and Candice is sent to the apron over the top rope. Shotzi is knocked to the apron. Shotzi with a forearm and she pulls Candice into the ring post but Candice lands on the ring steps. Candice hangs on to the ring steps and she sends Shotzi into the ring post and Candice sends Shotzi to the floor.
Winner: Candice LeRae
After the match, Candice celebrates in the ring with her husband Johnny Gargano.
Sarah is in the back with Damian Priest and she asks him about facing Johnny Gargano. Damian says his main event run will not end after Takeover. She asks him about facing Austin Theory. Damian says his record is not relevant to his talent. It sucks to be Austin tonight. Damian leaves and says he will see Sarah at the after party.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Fandango is holding court for the Number One Contender Match. Fandango says they pick someone from each of the contending team will have a member who will team and the winner will face each other to see who faces Breezango. Regal had no idea what he was saying but Burch explained it and Regal understood.
Match Number Two: Jake Atlas versus Tommaso Ciampa
They lock up and Ciampa misses a chop on the break and Atlas with chops and punches. Ciampa with a forearm. Ciampa sends Atlas to the apron and sets for Willow's Bell but Atlas escapes and pulls Ciampa to the floor. Atlas with punches to Ciampa against the ring steps followed by kicks. Atlas pulls up the ring skirt and he sets to catapult Ciampa into the bottom of the ring. Ciampa kicks Atlas away and they return to the ring. Ciampa with a clothesline. Ciampa with a rear chin lock. Ciampa with an irish whip that sends Atlas sternum first into the turnbuckles.
Atlas with a forearm out of the corner followed by more forearms. Atlas with a reverse atomic drop and a drop kick. Atlas with a double leg take down and a boot followed by punches. Ciampa has a kick blocked. Atlas with a waist lock and a bicycle kick into the corner. Atlas avoids Ciampa from the apron and Atlas with a kick and a moonsault off the turnbuckles to the floor. Atlas sends Ciampa back into the ring and goes up top and hits a blockbuster for a near fall. Atlas goes for the Rainbow DDT but Ciampa kicks Atlas in the arm and then he hits Willow's Bell but he picks up his cover.
Ciampa asks Atlas if he wants to be in the main event and if he is hungry. Ciampa slaps Atlas. He says nothing can save you and then Ciampa with Fairy Tale Ending 2 for the three count.
Winner: Tommaso Ciampa
We take a look at Ridge Holland. He says people wonder who he is. He says four kids tried to take advantage of him at age eight but a switch went off in his head. Since then, he has had to fight for everything. He mentions playing rugby and while it isn't fighting, it is the next best thing. He is going to show his ability in an NXT ring. The NXT Universe is learning quickly what Ridge Holland is all about.
We are back with comments from the five participants in the Gauntlet Eliminator tonight. Finn Balro says it is time for people to start fighting for the title.
Match Number Three: Roderick Strong and Danny Burch versus Fabian Aichner and Raul Mendoza in Stage 1 of a Mutliple Stage Fandango Creation to Determine the Number One Contender for the NXT Tag Team Championships
Strong and Aichner start things off and Strong with an arm bar. Aichner backs Strong into the corner and Strong floats over on an Irish whip. Aichner with a slam to Strong and Mendoza is tagged in and he snap mares Strong and kicks Roderick and hits a quebrada for a near fall. Strong backs Mendoza into the corner and Burch tags in and connects with European uppercuts. Burch with a snap mare and reverse chin lock. Mendoza with a side head lock. Burch with an ankle pick on Mendoza and he gets a near fall. Mendoza with an Irish whip but misses a splash. Burch with a kick and he stops Aichner but Mendoza pulls Burch off the apron as we go to commercial.
We are back and Aichner with a chin lock on Burch. Burch with punches and Aichner with a belly-to-back suplex. Aichner sends Burch into the turnbuckles and Mendoza tags in and kicks Burch. Mendoza chokes Burch in the ropes and he mocks Strong. Mendoza with a kick to the ribs. Mendoza with a snap mare and he gets a near fall. Mendoza with a cobra clutch. Burch punches Mendoza and Mendoza with a knee. Burch goes for a sunset flip but Aichner tags in before Burch gets Mendoza over. Aichner with a kick to Burch and then to Strong. Burch with a clothesline. Aichner with a clothesline and Strong with clotheslines to Aichner and a back breaker into the turnbuckles and Mendoza. Strong with an Olympic Slam for a near fall.
Aichner blocks a suplex and Strong lands on his knee. Mendoza with a knee on the apron and Aichner with a spinebuster for a near fall. Aichner gets Strong on his shoulders and tags in Mendoza. Strong sends Aichner to the floor and Mendoza with a kick. Strong sends Mendoza to the apron and Mendoza kicks Burch. Mendoza with a forearm and Strong with a boot to Mendoza on the turnbuckles. Strong kicks Aichner and Burch with Tower of London for the three count.
Winners: Danny Burch and Roderick Strong
Sarah is with Austin Theory in the back and he tells her about what Damian said.
Johnny Gargano shows up and says that Austin has all of the god given talent, just like him. He tells Theory to knock him down and he weakens him for Takeover, he will not forget Austin. Sarah wishes Austin luck and Austin laughs at her.
