HOW THE ROCK HAS GONE FROM WRESTLER TO SUPERSTAR

By Kendall Jenkins on 2020-09-09 11:57:00

Everybody knows this man as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson" from his old wrestling days, where his stage name was 'The Rock.' He created his first enormous pedestal from this career, which has led to an outstanding amount of success! However, it wasn't always like this for Mr. Johnson. Before making it to the WWE, he was a football player for the University of Miami from 1991 to 1994.

Johnson took the role as a defensive tackle for the Miami football team, but unfortunately, he didn't make it to the NFL. However, this later led to the opportunity for Dwayne to play with CFL'S Calgary Stampeders during 1995. However, he didn't last long on the team and was cut after just two months. This had a significant impact on Dwayne's life going forward and put under a lot of stress to find and pursue a career.

Dwayne Johnson always stated that he loves entertaining people and making them laugh and smile. He was born into a professional wrestling family, so he still had a passion for wrestling. This was the turning point in Dwayne Johnson's future, as he discovered he was a natural-born entertainer amongst the widely established wrestling world of WWE.

On an additional note, the Wrestler turned actor might've shortened his odds, as he publicly criticized the current president Donald Trump. Companies like BetRivers in Colorado are offering odds for the online betting game, and he's trading at 500.00 on Betfair Exchange.

Can you smell what the Rock is cooking?

Johnson had his first debut fight against the Brooklyn Brawler when he joined the WWF, which is now known as WWE. Following this match, he had a couple more games, which included a tag team with Bart Sawyer, resulting in victory. After this success, WWE signed him under the name of Flex Kavana. Fast forward one year, he went onto join the well-known 'Nation of Domination,' where he took on the role of leadership and called himself 'The Rock.'

He then went onto join the most elite of wrestlers, which was named the 'corporation' and then began a feud with the notorious Steve Austin. Dwayne stayed very true to himself and was eventually known as the 'Peoples Champ,' and The Rock pushed forward, securing him 17 total WWF/WWE titles throughout his career.

Movie and TV Stardom

It's no secret that Johnson is a man of many talents, and his acting career started. Staring in his first movie back in 2001, he played a character named 'Mathayus,' and he played it exceptionally well because it inspired a prequel the following year called 'The Scorpion King.' Dwayne's performance in The Mummy Returns netted him around $5.5 million. Now that's not bad for his first movie!

From this success, he started to build his fame when he leaped into the Fast and Furious franchise, starring Vin Diesel. Viewers were unsure at the start of the franchise, as Dwayne took the films in a completely different direction, but fans around the world quickly began to love it! Now Johnson is in a significant number of cinema and box office hits, claiming the title as the highest-paid actor in the world.
