Intro
In today's world, winning is something people give more importance to than playing the game itself. A sport is a gentleman's game; playing it with honesty and by the rules is an integral part of undertaking sports. However, now people value status, popularity, and fame over the spirit of sports. College scholarships matter more than playing the game fair and square. Unfortunately, the teenagers of our society are aiming to win the race rather than just taking part and learning from it. Doping is a more common name for performance-enhancing drugs, and with the advancements in drugs, they don't even test positive now.
What drugs are used as enhancements
Athletes use a wide array of drugs for different types of enhancements. Drugs can improve their stamina, reflexes, and speed.
Anabolic steroids
Anabolic steroids are human-made variations of testosterone, the male sex hormone. Another name for it is anabolic-androgenic steroids. Athletes usually call it Juice and Gear or Roids. Doctors usually prescribe steroids to treat hormonal issues in men, the most likely problem being delay in puberty. Athletes use this drug to improve their physical appearance and boost performance. Steroids can also treat muscle loss diseases like AIDs and cancer.
Surveys and test reports show that weight lifters in their 20s or 30s take the drug to enhance muscle strength; this is how they get so big. Doctors don't prescribe anabolic steroids to young people, and you need a prescription to use them. Otherwise, you're using them illegally. Some ingest them as pills and while others use hypodermic needles to inject them directly into their muscle.
· Hormone and metabolic modulators
There are different types of hormones and metabolic modulators that modify the human system. They can either block or stimulate the receptors, or they can boost or inhibit certain enzyme reactions. Metabolic modulators suppress the production of estrogen in the body. They also prevent the natural conversion of testosterone into estrogen. They don't just affect the metabolism; they also remove the natural limitation of our body like muscle growth that is present due to myostatin presence.
Metabolic enhancers like,
· AICAR
· GW1516
Enhance endurance and help in aerobic performance. When given to animals, they show significant effects. Cyclists also use this drug, and it is very common in that community.
· Cannabis
The main reason players use cannabis is as a way of relaxing. It produces a feeling of euphoria that decreases anxiety and increases sociability. They use it to alleviate the stress of competition. Similarly, Green Borneo kratom also relaxes the brain and relives the inhaler from stress. People smoke it to lessen the pain and to feel relax and calm. This keeps the players cool, and they get their heads straight for the next game. Cannabis is more popular with college students as they use it to get through injuries and pain. Study and Sports can take a toll on a student, so they use it as a way of relaxing.
· Stimulants
Stimulants affect the human nervous system directly. These drugs work by speeding and enhancing specific parts of the human body like the brain, heart rate, and blood pressure. It speeds up the digestion, and the body temperature also shoots up. It helps in removing fatigue from a person's body. The Kratom strain Green Vein Malay when ingested, also gives similar enhancements. It boosts a person's focus and rejuvenates his energy. Stimulants have also shown to bring out the aggressiveness of an athlete. Caffeine is also a type of stimulant; we can find it in numerous products we consume like tea, coffee, chocolate, workout supplements. Caffeine increases the reaction time of a person and reduces and delays fatigue.
There are different types of stimulants
· Cocaine
· Amphetamine
· Meth
· Crack
· Glucocorticoids
Doctors use Glucocorticoids to treat sports-related or sports induced injuries. Due to the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of GC, it lets athletes resume their sport or training earlier than they expect. GC also aids in helping and recovering from traumatic surgery of torn ligaments and ruptured tendons. GC is available to the public in a variety of different ways, like injections, tablets, creams, inhalers, and eye drops. Some athletes have tried to harness the healing power and performance-enhancing feature of the drug, but they are unsuccessful.
How do these drugs affect the body?
The person may be taking performance-enhancing drugs to perform better, but it takes a toll on his body. The drugs he takes catastrophically react with his body. Some minor effects are,
· Confusion
· Loss of appetite
· Dilation in pupils
· Dizziness at odd times

Are they worth it?
Some of you athletes might achieve what you want with drugs, and if you're lucky with little to no effects on the body. But know this, we are messing with our natural system, and we do not know the risk and penalties until it is very late. We may have come up with ways to enhance or body functions, but in doing so, we stop some others that are pretty vital for the body to work.
So, it does not matter; think this before using drugs to win," is winning worth risking my life for".
