Even though World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) matches are fixed, it is an open secret. This has never stopped sports bettors from having a punt on top quality matches. It may be 2021 until we see crowds attend arenas once more, but for now, the show goes on. However, if you are looking at “big matches”, it is fair to say that the WWE will be waiting until next year for those crowds to turn up before they really wow us with epic events. So, what can we expect in 2021, and what is going to get players flocking to sportsbooks to claim offers and use BetRiver online promo codes, for instance?
While there is no way of knowing what is on the cards for 2021 with any certainty, we would imagine that the jewel in the crown of the WWE, WrestleMania, will be the epic showcase where most of the anticipated matches will be played out. Here is what we think 2021 might have in store...
The Rock to Return at WrestleMania?
WrestleMania 36 is set to roll into Hollywood in 2021. Who else could headline but Mr Hollywood himself, The Rock? It has been several years since The Rock had a match, but we feel sure that he will be involved in some capacity. Could a long-awaited match against Roman Reigns be on the cards for the Hollywood star? We and many others hope so. The Rock may now be “retired”, but like others before him, could one final match be on the cards in the heart of Hollywood?
Lynch vs. Rousey Rematch?
Becky Lynch picked up the title by defeating Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35. Oddly enough, she hasn’t dropped the title since, and Rousey hasn’t fought since the main event. While it is a very tall order to suggest that Lynch won’t lose the Women’s Championship before WrestleMania 36, it would make for an epic rematch if she was still the champion, and Rousey could be coaxed into returning. If this comes to fruition, expect a lot of gambling action to take place.
One “Final” Outing for The Deadman?
If you have been watching The Undertaker: The Last Ride over the last month, you will know all about the ups and downs of the Deadman, as he has been continually looking for the perfect final match to say goodbye to almost thirty years in the ring. He’s never really had it. The Undertaker regularly says he is done, but returns for me. Regrettably, it must end eventually.
In the documentary, Taker says that he is now retired, or at least, he thinks so. He does admit that he could return one last time if the match was right. As the Undertaker has a reputation for turning up the WrestleMania’s would we get one final goodbye from The Deadman? This is arguably the most likely of the three matches we’re hoping for. One last outing for The Phenom would ultimately bust the bank at online betting sites and sportsbooks, and would always be welcome.
