WHY GALLOWS & ANDERSON'S IMPACT ANNOUNCEMENT WASN'T KEPT A SURPRISE, THE KILLER BEES, CZW AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2020-07-18 10:00:00

Why would Gallows and Anderson announce they were coming to Impact as opposed to letting it be a surprise at the PPV tonight?

To get you to want to order the PPV tonight!

Whatever happened to CZW?

COVID-19, the same thing that happened to all the other Northeastern independent wrestling promotions.

If you could change one thing about the WWE Network, what would it be?

I'd really like to see the company get very proactive about tracking down and interviewing personalities from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s as they get older. I always used George Scott as my example, but when he passed away, that was a huge loss in my mind when it comes to losing his perspective in the early days of WWF going national and the creative process that was involved, plus he was the first man to book Ricky Steamboat vs. Ric Flair. Imagine the insight that could have been added to the DVDs, the Networks, etc. if WWE had that a long form interview with him that they could use for their own research as well as material they could splice into their products. If I was WWE, I'd have a full-time crew traveling around the country interviewing older talents and names so they have that material in the can.  I personally feel like that's an investment they should make in the long term of the company and the network.

You mentioned them recently, so I have to ask, where are the Young Stallions?

Paul Roma lives in CT and operates a wrestling school there. MLW's Richard Holliday has come out of his Paradise Alley Wrestling School.  Jim Powers lives in Florida now and is very much separated from pro wrestling.

How could you not name The Killer Bees as a team that should have been World Tag Team Champs?

I could name 100 teams that could have been but limited myself to a few.  I was a big fan of Jim Brunzell especially and certainly the Bees were important during their WWF run and played great babyfaces and would have made a quality top team if the booking went that way.
