Considering how Vince usually regards any competition of his, why was he so keen on helping out ECW in the late 1990s/early 2000s with talent exchanges and financial support?
He was at war with WCW and Paul Heyman was an ally, helping with using some talents and working with WWE people. I am sure he helped out with ideas as well for WWE, but I can’t say that for sure.
Now that WWE has bought EVOLVE, what do you think the next step will be? Will EVOLVE be built up as a WWE brand like NXT or 205 Live? Or will they just absorb their contracted talent and be done with EVOLVE altogether?
WWE could have pretty much grabbed any talent that they wanted from EVOLVE before this. I really don’t think they need to run EVOLVE as a promotion since it’s not like it’s a big draw or anything. I guess they could make it a faction in NXT if they choose to, but I don’t see much name value in actually running EVOLVE shows.
Is it safe to say WWE's EVOLVE purchase has more to do with acquiring their video library than with signing new talents? EVOLVE's role mirrors that of NXT, developing new talent. When it seems like WWE has at least four wrestlers not wrestling for everyone that does, they don't need any more wrestlers.
Yep, that’s safe to say!
Low Ki always talks about having honor and being a Warrior. Then on his Twitter page, he basically said that 5% of people that COVID-19 killed were expendable. How is that honorable? What kind of warrior does that make him if he is fine with giving up innocent lives just because he doesn't want to wear a mask?
To me it means he is neither honorable nor a warrior. He just comes across as self absorbed and selfish, not to mention ignorant to why people wear masks: to help other people.
I never watched Low Ki worked much. I have heard you say many times that the guy thinks he is way bigger than he is and works that way. I wasn't sure if you were exaggerating for humor's sake or not until I heard Jim Cornette say that in MLW Low Ki worked as if he thought he was Braun Strowman's size. So he really does that? Does he have Napoleon Complex?
I both told the truth about how he works, but also mocked it since he is so small that it’s just not believable to me to see a little guy, as Jim said, act like Braun Strowman. Like I said last week, to me he is a real life version of Foghorn Leghorn's Chickenhawk sidekick. I am not sure what makes a guy of his small size think he should be able to wrestle like he's an actual heavyweight. I guess he could have the small man's complex that you mentioned.
