Cody noted on social media that his open challenge for potential AEW TNT Championship challengers is open to non-contracted talents, which certainly opens the scope of potential challengers. Cody will defend against Jungle Boy on this Wednesday's edition of AEW Dynamite.
AEW has removed a bout scheduled for tomorrow's edition of Dark featuring Shawn Spears against Clutch Adams after fans online made the promotion aware of Tweets made by Adams seven years ago that featured racist and homophobic comments. Adams took to Twitter to apologize for the old tweets. Christi Jaynes vs. KiLynn King has been added to the broadcast in its place.
