I was expecting a piped in audience for Wrestlemania, and there was nothing. I was even hoping for a fake audience like they use in the video games. Nothing. I’m sure Vince checks the ratings and sees that they are declining. Why haven’t they tried anything to do something about the lack of audience? They could even put previous crowds up on some giant televisions. I know everything comes down to Vince, but I’m sure even he recognizes what an awesome production team they have. Their vignettes (like the one they have been doing for Jeff Hardy) are excellent. What are your thoughts?
Since I have been saying exactly what you said above for almost two months now, I couldn’t agree with you (and myself) more. They need to do something to get some noise there. I like the idea of a Zoom screen with fans watching and reacting. So many other outlets are doing similar things right now it just makes sense for WWE to do it too. And man, it will make the broadcasts easier to watch if they did. But yep, it comes down to Vince deciding to do it.
Why hasn’t Becky been on tv lately? One of their top stars has barely been seen since Wrestlemania.
There really isn’t all that much for her to do right now. The focus with the women has been on Money In The Bank so there isn’t really a whole lot to do with her. They don’t need to have her working tune up type matches.
Any thoughts on the Smackdown hacker? It is still airing so it must have more to do with just Sonya and Mandy.
Not really but since you asked, I hope it’s something big, like the return of Ronda Rousey, and not just another angle.
Are you enjoying The Bubbly Bunch on AEW?
I really am. It’s easily my favorite thing on new wrestling TV over the last month. We need to have some fun in our wrestling right now and I enjoy the bunch every week.
Also, do you wish Chris Jericho would be the commentator full time?
Jericho has been fantastic on commentary. Much like the Bubbly Bunch, he makes me laugh every week and I really appreciate that right now. He is still a great wrestler but if he ever just wanted to be a character/commentator full time that would be fine by me. He is very entertaining.
