YOUTUBE CLASSIC: CACTUS JACK VS. SABU IN A DESERT DEATH MATCH

In the mid-1990s, T.C. Martin launched the National Wrestling Council in Las Vegas, featuring a mix of established veterans and local talents for a weekly local TV series that built to regular events in Sin City.  While the promotion did not last long, one of the best rivalries featured in the promotion was imported from ECW, as Sabu (at the time, the hottest independent wrestler in the world) and Mick Foley, who at this point only had One Face of Foley, Cactus Jack, and was coming off his run in WCW.  During a time period where wrestling could be a little crazier in its creativity and get away with pushing the envelope of its execution (it was the '90s!), this Desert Death Match gave Sabu and Foley all the leeway they needed to brawl all over, including into a casino:
