The bulk of the upper level is tarped off with the exception of a few sections on the camera side. The lower and mid-levels on that side were pretty full despite coronavirus concerns.
Becky Lynch got a huge pop at the start of the show. The crowd booed Shayna Baszler when she was mentioned.
The ringside physician checked on Rey Mysterio halfway through this match with Angel Garza. I couldn’t tell where he got dinged up but since the doc returned to his seat and Rey was able to finish the match I’m guessing it’s not too serious.
Liv Morgan received a good reaction from the crowd. She got a big pop for the spot she did with Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan.
The AJ Styles promo was incredible live. Don’t know how the reaction came across on TV but when he dropped Undertaker’s real name and brought Michelle McCool into the equation the “ooooh’s” were deafening.
After the Edge segment, the crowd lost it when Undertaker’s gong hit to advertise the contract signing next week in Pittsburgh. They thought he was here for a split second since he had been advertised and was backstage.
Street Profits were over big when they first came out. Crowd chanted “we want the smoke.” The crowd died down and started to thin out not long after the four-man tag matched started and didn’t come back alive until the finish.
After the show, Rollins got on the mic and said “you may not like it, but I am the Monday Night Messiah and anyone who messes with me will wind up just like that,” alluding to Kevin Owens. Drew McIntyre came out and delivered a Claymore Kick to send the crowd home happy. He said “I’ll be damned if we’re going to end the night with that son of a bitch Seth Rollins getting the last laugh in Washington, DC.” He then said things will change after he wins the belt from Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. And that’s a wrap.
