CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST WWE REGARDING RELATIONSHIP WITH SAUDI ARABIA, WWE INSTITUTES MEET & GREET RULE DUE TO CORONAVIRUS, UNDERTAKER AND MORE NEWS

The Undertaker's appearance at the Big Event convention in NYC led to the event having its first ever pre-show sellout. Braun Strowman and Bret Hart, among many others, also appeared at the convention.  Promoters have already set an 11/14 return.   Undertaker was far and away the biggest draw the promotion has ever had over the last several years as there was a line outside the LaGuardia Plaza Hotel that ran down the block waiting to enter.

WWE signings over the weekend featured a no touching rule due to the coronavirus.  Sasha Banks wore gloves at her signing over the weekend for the same reason.  I would expect that Wrestlemania AXXESS, should that event take place without any major changes, will feature a similar rule - as it should.  At the Big Event, Braun Strowman would do fist bumps but nothing else.  Undertaker's signing in NYC made it clear there would be no physical contact.

A class action lawsuit was filed against WWE several days ago, alleging WWE "made false and misleading statements and/or failed to disclose adverse information regarding WWE’s business and operations. Specifically, defendants failed to disclose that WWE was experiencing rising tension with the Saudi government and a breakdown in negotiations over a renewed broadcasting distribution deal; that the Saudi government and its affiliates had failed to make millions of dollars in payments owed to WWE pursuant to existing contractual commitments between the parties; that OSN had terminated the broadcast of WWE programming in the first quarter of 2019, despite a contractual obligation to continue such broadcasts, and that this cancellation was symptomatic of a deterioration in the business relationship between the parties; that OSN had rebuffed efforts to renew a distribution rights agreement on terms acceptable to WWE; and that WWE did not have the ability to expand its operations in the Middle East or within Saudi Arabia as had been represented to investors."

WWE's YouTube channel surpassed over 40 Billion views over the weekend.
