Multiple sources close to the series indicate that the second season of the excellent wrestling docuseries Dark Side of the Ring is being targeted for a late March debut on the cable network. That timing makes sense as it would allow the network to promote the series during WWE's ramp up to Wrestlemania 36, when there is a lot of focus on the pro wrestling genre.
The plan is for a ten episode season focusing on nine topics with one subject covered as a two-part special. While we have not confirmed this, its likely that will be episodes covering the Benoit family tragedy since that is such a deep story to try and explore. The Benoit material will feature Nancy Benoit’s sister Sandra Toffoloni and Chris Benoit's son David. Since Toffoloni has noted this publicly on her Twitter account, she has reunited with David and thanked the Dark Side of the Ring series for giving her back her nephew. Toffoloni and Benoit were together at an AEW PPV last year.
PWInsider.com can confirm some of the topics that will be covered in Season Two will be:
*Brawl For All.
*The Benoit Tragedy.
*Dino Bravo.
*New Jack.
*Herb Abrams.
*Owen Hart.
The first season featured documentaries on the murder of Bruiser Brody, the Von Erich family, The Montreal Screwjob, The Fabulous Moolah, and Randy Savage and Elizabeth, among other topics. Viceland renewed the series for a second season in July 2019.
