HOW TO LIVE A FULL COLLEGE LIFE WHILST PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE

College is one time that everyone remembers their whole life.  High School is fun for only some people but in college, things are undeniably different. 

But the problem arises when students either think nothing at all about the future or just think a lot and miss out on the fun things. So this is where we will help you get that balance 

Be a little rebellious 

Though school life you have studied hard and got into the college of your dreams. Now it is time you kick back relax and have a bit of fun. 

For fun, you can take a bit of harmless risk and get a fake id – not from your elder siblings but a fake id website. Get a bottle of beer whilst being a teenager. Trust me every bottle you have illegally will be a memorable one but don’t go overboard with this.  

Make Friends 

Unlike high school people in college don't stereotype. So go out of their open up and get as many friends as you can. According to Ashraf Habibullah, the owner of one of the biggest software companies in America “Friends are your key to success, make good friends and they will help you through your tough times." 

So go out there, the world is your oyster express yourself and you will soon be able to attract like-minded people. 

Go to guest speaker sessions

Whenever your university arranges a guest speaker you should attend that. The guest speakers are successful men/women and at the top of their game. Their advice is something you don’t want to miss out on. 

One of the best pieces of advice I learned was from a guest who said: "Every no is going to bring you closer to that one yes, so never stop trying." This gave me the motivation to keep pitching my work until I got my first article published. 

Get as many internships as you can

Experience is everything, so whilst you are in a university experiment in different fields by doing internships. This will help you gauge what the industry is like and where you can perform your best whilst having fun.

You might have to do that job for the next few years, every day so makes sure you choose something that makes you happy while you do it.  

Go traveling

Once you graduate you won’t get the free time you do as a student.  Yes! You do have free time. 

So make plans with your friends to go on a road trip, a vacation, a camping trip or even a music festival. These are the memories that you will remember as you sip on tea sitting in a rocking chair in your big mansion. 

Your startup plan 

There is never a better time than in college when you can work on your startup idea. This is the best time to fine-tune the details and get all the advice from your teachers. Teachers can recommend things and point out mistakes you wouldn't have even imagined you were making in your work.

Cold pitches 

This is the easiest time to accept failures so send out emails and do visits to companies where you can pitch your ideas. If you get a positive response you can start working on your idea immediately and if you don’t then remember with each “NO” you get closer to the “YES”. 

With this, I hope you enjoy every minute of the time you have in college. Remember, balance is the key!
