Do you think AEW should start doing house shows?
No, They are doing fine as a TV series and running the one taping a week. I think they should hold off on running additional live events until there is a call for it, either because the company is so hot they are they leaving money on the table by not going on the road or a partner like Warner wants events they can stream on HBO Max, etc.
I saw WWE brought Todd Pettingill back. Do you think he'll be back in regularly?
I haven't heard anything in that direction, but I was glad to see him brought in for the Royal Rumble. He was local, so it was an easy fit and it gave him a chance to plug his HeyTodd.com subscription site.
I saw you wrote Vince McMahon shocked a lot of people in the company by revealing they were in talks with streaming services. Why would he do that? If it was me, I'd be worried they were trying to field my job off to some other company!
Vince did it because he could and because it was a great way to let everyone out there in the OTT business know that WWE is looking to make deals. The employees might not be happy about it, but honestly, stuff like that is on a need to know basis and Vince decided that they didn't need to know I guess. It's far too early to say they would be out of a job. We have heard WWE isn't seeking actively to shut down the Network.
Whatever happened to Ted DiBiase Jr.? Do you think he'd be a good pickup for AEW?
He decided he wanted to leave the business to spend time with his family. I like the idea of him in AEW on paper if he wanted to do it, but again, it would all depend on if he wanted to be on the road traveling three days a week.
Why would Cody take those lashes?
To get the angle over and hopefully, get you to pay to see him get MJF at Revolution.
