WHY I THINK AEW USUALLY BEATS NXT IN THE RATINGS, CODY’S COACH, TMI ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND MORE

I know you guys think NXT currently is the better show than Dynamite, so can you explain why Dynamite has had a higher number of viewers on the majority of nights both shows have gone head to head?  For example, does TNT in general reach a higher number of viewers than USA?  Is it the "new" factor of AEW?  Is NXT as a brand not as appealing to the mainstream audience?

I can try.  First let me say that while I like it better, it doesn’t mean that everyone will, or even that it is.  It just means it’s exactly what I like in a wrestling show.  Back in the nineties, people either liked Raw or Nitro better.  That is the case here today.  I think there are a few things in play here. One, AEW is the new, fresh thing and people that don’t like WWE, for whatever reason, support AEW and shun NXT.  There are definitely people that won’t watch NXT because WWE owns it, I know, I have heard from them. I think NXT also makes it easy for people to watch AEW on Wednesday since fans can watch a commercial free version of the show the next night on The WWE Network.  I would love to see USA step up and make WWE a financial offer so good that they remove the Thursday airing from the network. Then, we could see which show would draw better.  Beyond that, I think AEW is helped by having Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley (who many fans still think of as Dean Ambrose).  They are main event level talents from WWE so that gives AEW more credibility with the casual fans.  The NXT roster is loaded but doesn’t have anyone that the casual fan sees as being as big as Jericho and Moxley.  Plus, they have seemed to connect more than NXT has with younger viewers, though again I would really love to see what would happen there if NXT left the Network.

I get what they are trying to do by putting Arn Anderson in Cody's corner, but do you think it makes Cody look weak since he needs a coach in his corner while no one else on the roster does?

Not weak yet but I think it could have been explained better.  Arn is there to be a fine tuner, to get Cody to fix flaws.  I think it could be sold better than it has been.  I think advisor would have been a better title.

I've been a reader since (before) you started the site and the one thing I enjoy is that you don't dive too deep into wrestling gossip (who's dating who, why people might have gotten fired? etc.) like a lot of other cut and paste sites. The reason being that sort of stuff to me takes away from the show. A kind of don't meet your heroes type of thing. Recently before the last Impact PPV you reported on Ethan Page's sickness. I followed him on twitter and he kept a running play by play of whether he was going to s*** himself in the ring complete with pics of him on the can. So my question is do you think wrestlers give away too much of themselves on social media even if the media is intended for fans?

I think it’s entirely up to the poster and reader to make that decision.  I am with you in that I don’t really care about the dirt and don’t want to know it, but there are a lot of people that live for it.  There are also people that post things on social media that make me shake my head but again, it’s all a personal preference.

I read an article on another site stating that the men’s Royal Rumble showed that WWE was a racist company.  Is that the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard?

No, it’s not the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard but it’s absolutely goofy, no doubt.  I was sent the article and I was waiting for the author to say it was a joke.

Whatever happened to the other two members of the FBI that don't get mentioned much, Big Sal and the man weighing in at 2450 liquid ounces, Tony Mamaluke?

Tony worked on the indies until a few years ago, when he retired.  He worked the One Night Stand show and also for TNA for a while.  Big Sal is living in New Jersey.
