TOP 4 FIGHTS YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO MISS IN THE FIRST TWO MONTHS OF 2020

By Kendall Jenkins on 2020-01-15 08:52:00

Are you willing to receive some punches? Boxing is a sport of fighting with fists covered with padded gloves in a roped square ring. Umpires control the game by ensuring all the rules and regulations are followed

2019 was a sports year with lots of unification bouts and plenty of legitimate matches of the year candidates. This momentum should go into 2020, and sure it is, with the following fights standing out among others for the first two months of 2020.

These fights will provide an excellent chance for people who love betting. For instance, sites such as Comeon! is where you can place your bet hope for the best possible outcome.

Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder

This match is scheduled to take place on 22nd February in Las Vegas. In 2019, Deontay (41 KOS) who is the current WBC heavyweight champion, came off two breathtaking knockouts. He starched Breazeale in one round in May, then in their rematch in November, Wilder scored an electrifying one-punch, 7th round KO of Luis Ortiz.

Fury, on the other hand, is the lineal champion, and he is becoming the most colorful character in the sports world. Over the years, he has improved his profile by appearing in WWE and working on his portray as an international figure.

Why This Fight Matters?

Although Anthony Joshua is holding the other three major belts, this fight will determine the world's heavyweight champion. Wilder is ranked No. 1 by ESPN in the bracket, while Fury is in the position. Who will improve the most from their first meeting?

Murodjon Akhadaliev vs. Danny Roman

The match is set to be on 30th January in Miami. Danny (27-2-1, 10 KOs) is overlooked as he doesn’t appear on any of the pounds for the pound list, although he is a junior featherweight unified champion. Rey Vargas and Emanuel Navarrete are classified above him by the ESPN. Danny has not lost any fight since 2013, a total of 19 matches.

Murodjon (7-0, 6 KOs), who is trained by Joel Diaz, is part of talented and ambitious fighters from Uzbekistan who are quickly making their way in the sport.

Why This Fight Matters

Danny is fighting to gain respect. Soon, he will be looking for a chance to claim the belts in this weight class by challenging Navarrete and Vargas. But for this to happen, Roman must face the tough Murodjon, who is his mandatory challenger in WBA.

Jesse Vargan vs. Mikey Garcia

It is scheduled to be on 29th February, hosted in Frisco, Texas. Mikey (39-1, 30 KOs) came off an uneven loss to Errol Spence Jr. back in March 2019. This fight helped Garcia move up two-full weight classes. You may think that the defeat in March would facilitate a return back to at least junior welterweight, but Garcia insisted he is capable of fighting at 147.

Jessie (29-2-2, 11 KOs) is a fighter who, over the years, has gained popularity by challenging the likes of Adrien Broner, Timoth Bradley Jr., and Manny Pacquiao.

Why This Fight Matters

The winner will get a chance to move up into a bigger and better welterweight division. In this division, he will find some high-profile titleholders, the likes of Spence, Terence Crawford, and Pacquiao.

Victor Postol vs. Jose Ramirez

The match is scheduled to be on 1st February, hosted by China. Ramirez (25-0, 17 KOs) had a banner 2019. He had difficulty defending his WBC 140-pound title against Jose Zepeda back in February 2019. But he was able to defeat fellow titleholder Maurice Hooker in Texas and added the WBO belt to his collection by securing a 6th-round TKO. Ramirez is considered by many as a pressure fighter whose tactics include closing the gap and getting busy using both hands.

Victor (31-2, 12 KOs) is a disciplined fighter who stymie the attacks of his opponents. Postol has only lost two fights against Terence Crawford and Josh Taylor in a fierce competition.

Why This Fight Matters

There is a lot of talk of Jose facing Josh Taylor (titleholder of IFB and WBA) at some point in 2020, but Jose has some bout he must fulfill to face Postol. Ramires is ranked No. 1 at 140 while Postoll is fifth according to ESPN.
