I just finished watching the latest episode of NWA Powerrr.  I find that their have done more with character development than AEW has while still keeping good action in the ring.  To what do you attribute the fact that NWA is able to do what AEW has struggled while on a budget the fraction of the size?

Good character development is not usually about your budget, it’s about your commitment to the process and having creative people on the staff who know how to get talents over.  The NWA has made that a priority and it shows.  AEW doesn’t need to spend money to make it happen, they just have to commit to doing it.  They have the minds there to make it happen.  Last week’s show was a good step in the direction of more focusing on character development.

Silly question to be sure, but does a talent like Bayley get a bump in pay to make up for the loss of merchandising money going heel causes. Everyone knows that, in general, faces make more in merch money than heels.

Bonuses for mercy and house shows are done at WWE’s discretion so it’s up to them to make that decision.  Generally, they make sure talents in her position are taken care of.

With Randy Orton faking a knee injury and a title change is WWE trying to build up house shows as must see?

If so, I think it’s a bit misguided.  I don’t see it as a draw for fans to having a talent not finish a match due to a fake injury.  I would feel ripped off if they did that to me after I paid for a ticket.  Now, having a title change, like they did with Andrade at MSG?  That is an interesting idea.  I don’t know that it will work but it’s worth a try.

Vince McMahon obviously has done a lot for wrestling be it good, bad or indifferent depending on your point of view. To put it nicely, age has a way to catch up with all of us.  I know this would be pure speculation on your part, but what do you think is left on his bucket list of things either he would like to do or see get done wrestling wise before he goes up to the great wrestling squared circle in the sky?

Father Time is undefeated and always will be.  With that said, I don’t think I have to go out on a limb to say the one thing he would really like to accomplish while he is still on Earth is to make the XFL a success.

What match are you most looking forward to at Takeover Blackpool?

I am stoked for the top three matches, for reasons I am sure I will talk about in the Tip Sheet later this week.  If I had to pick, I guess I would go with WALTER vs. Joe Coffey.  I love watching WALTER work, he is just so, so good.  Coffey is strong as well.  I want to see what those two can come up with.  If the women’s match was a straight up rematch between Toni Storm and Kay Lee Ray I would probably say that was my most anticipated.  But, they will get us there I am sure.  The Tag Team Ladder match figures to be insane as well.
