NWA POWERRR TV REPORT

By Anthony Pires on 2019-11-27 08:43:00

We begin with a video package of the Kamille-Nick Aldis- James Storm controversy.  Specifically, where do Kamille’s loyalties lie?

The melodic force that is Dokken leads us into tonight’s show.

Joe Galli welcomes us and wishes us a Happy Thanksgiving.  Tonight we find out who will challenge Nick Aldis at the December 14th PPV- Into the Fire.  Whomever gets the shot, we are told it will be a 2 out of 3 falls match

Eli Drake is interviewed by Dave Marquez from Championship Wrestling From Hollywood.  Eli brags that people have compared him to legends like The Rock, Steve Austin and Ric Flair (without actually saying their names).  Eli is offended when people tell him he reminds them of Nick Aldis.  Drake accuses Aldis if ducking him.  The fans chant “E-LI-DRAKE” as he talks about the other NWA opponents.  Eli says he can’t be stopped.

Joe Galli is back talking about the Women’s Division and the recent events with Melina, Marti Belle, Thunder Rosa and Alyson Kay.

We see highlights of the Rock and Roll Express returning to the NWA and their challenge of the NWA World Tag Team Champions The Wild Cards.  That match takes place next week.

Time for “Into The Cage”, the mini documentary about Thunder Rosa.  Well done piece completely putting aside her wrestling character, even though part of the training montage has her training with the facepaint.  Her trainer, Richard Smith, tells her all about the fight day preparations.  She weighed in at 114.1 lbs after her cut, which was uncomfortable.  She’s battled depression and helplessness talking about situations in her life where she felt she had no control.

Interview with Melina coming up later

Danny Deals with a commercial for Highspots

We see highlights of the melee that took place after Colt Cabana won back the NWA National Title.  Joe Galli tells us that the National Championship will be defended at the PPV

Dave Marquez interviews Aron Stevens and the New Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment, The Question Mark. Stevens reminds Marquez not to make eye contact.  Stevens informs us that The Question Mark hails from Mongrovia and is a master of karate.  The Question Mark grunts “KA-RA-TAYYY”.  So tonight it will be Zane Dawson vs The Question Mark in an Empty Arena Match.  If the Question Mark wins, the Dawsons will have to recite Shakespeare.

Empty Arena Match: The Question Mark (with Aron Stevens) vs. Zane Dawson (with Dave Dawson)

Zane charges the corner but the Question Mark moves out of the way.  The Question Mark puts him down with a series of karate chops, Dawson fights back with a kick.  Dawson with a choke and series of closed fists.  More karate thrusts and a dropkick off the top by The Question Mark.  The Mongrovian Spike Thrust by The Question Mark and he gets the pin.

WINNER: The Question Mark

The Dawsons, true to their word, recite the “Shall I compare thee to a Summer’s Day” soliloquy.  Stevens is so horrified by how bad they are he wretches into a bucket as The Question Mark comforts him.

Joe Galli announces that that Trevor Murdoch vs The Question Mark has been officially signed for Into the Fire on December 14th.

We see highlights from last week when Melina showed up and joined forces with Marti Belle and Thunder Rosa. Joe Galli interviews Melina.  Melina longs for a time when people fought for more than just ego.  Meliana wanted to come to the NWA because they are worthy of her name. Melina talks about her place in the Women’s Revolution has been ignored.  Alyson Kay, she says, is devaluing the NWA Women’s title.  Kay has never had to fight the way Melina has.  Melina says the title deserves a legend like herself.

We see the announcement form William Corgan about “The Circle Squared”, the upcoming competition for an NWA contract.

Part 2 of “Into The Cage”.  Six hours before the fight, we see a nervous Thunder Rosa leaving her hotel room and being bussed to the arena.  She walks around the Combate America Ring and then goes through the prefight routine.

We then skip to postfight (Rosa lost via 3rd round decision).  Rosa is very emotional having lasted and fought through the exhaustion.  Her coaches congratulated her on getting better as the fight went on.

Breaking news from Joe Galli: At Into The Fire, Ashlex Vox and Alyson Kay will face 2 members of Melina’s team, to be determined later.

Colt Cabana vs Ricky Starks and The Rock and Roll Express vs The Wild Cards for the NWA World Tag Team Title next week.

Eli Drake vs. Ken Anderson is official for the PPV.  Joe Galli then reveals that James Storm will be the one to challenge Nick Aldis for the NWA World Title.
