BJ Whitmer, the husband of Kelly Klein, the reigning ROH Women of Honor Champion, stated on Twitter that Klein was fired by the promotion this past Tuesday, writing, "Now that the cat is out of the bag. Yes, my wife@RealKellyKlein was fired by @ringofhonor COO Joe Koff, via email Tuesday evening. Not a phone call, an EMAIL. Kelly is still very much suffering from Post Concussion Syndrome and was fired while still injured."
Klein has been out of action since ROH's United Kingdom tour. She has been the primary focus of the company's Women of Honor division for some time and was the promotion's only two-time WOH Champion. She had most recently been feuding with The Allure.
We are told Klein's current deal expires 12/31 but the two sides had been in discussions for a new deal.
