Eric Denton reporting. ... After competing in a dynamic match last night defending his PCW Ultra Light Heavyweight Championship against DAGA word has come out this morning that Jake Atlas (Kenny Marquez) will be finishing up on the independenta as he has signed a developmental deal with WWE and will report to the Performance Center in January. A regular on the So.Cal scene since debuting in 2016 working for PWG, Bar Wrestling, GCW and PCW Ultra. Atlas is a graduate of the Santino Bros. Wrestling Academy and was voted the 2017 Southern California Rookie Wrestler of the year. Atlas signing with WWE should not be huge surprise as Atlas had appeared along Stephanie McMahon on the CBS show "Undercover Boss" in which he told his story about being a gay man getting into the wrestling business to the disguised McMahon. He had been under a Brand Ambassador contract with the company. Atlas recently worked a Ring of Honor television taping but chose not to sign.
