The world of professional wrestling is a wonderful place, but there are some matches that are more significant and worth watching than others. These matches occur once a year and captivates fans from the moment the very first bell rings. Some of these matches have stayed with fans for the duration of their lives, especially as they have witnessed some of the most iconic moments in WWE history. But, which match is the most memorable on the wrestling calendar?
One of the most prestigious events of the year happens at the end of January and is when the plans for Wrestle Mania begin to form. Each superstar is handed a number and very similar to Tambola.com bingo site, superstars can win by having the right number. Superstars that have higher numbers will enter later, while the number one and two spots mean that they will begin the bout and must last nearly two hours to punch their ticket to the main event.
The women’s Royal Rumble was introduced at the 2017 event, capturing so much attention amongst fans and in the press. Beck Lynch famously won the 2018 event, while Seth Rollins won the men’s event.
The one event on the WWE calendar that can alter the trajectory of careers is the Money in the Bank ladder match. The briefcase at the top of the ring ensures a title opportunity over the next 12 months with winners being allowed to cash in the briefcase at any time. The matches are breath-taking affairs with a host of high-quality and high-risk in-ring danger. This event is most exciting for fans to watch because they can be unpredictable and fans will see a new star being born.
This match has led to some of the most iconic moments in WWE history, for example, Edge cashing in on John Cena at Elimination Chamber, and Seth Rollins cashing in on Brock Lesnar in the Wrestle Mania main event. This match type has possibly made this PPV (pay-per-view) the fourth biggest on the WWE calendar.
If there was one type of match that can redefine careers, then this is it. This match helped form the career of Mick Foley and the Undertaker as the two superstars played out one of the most unforgettable moments in the history of wrestling when Undertaker threw Mankind off the top of the cell. There have been multiple examples throughout the years of this unparallel action. Shane McMahon jumped off the cell three years ago in a clash with Kevin Owens and went straight through the announce table.
The only way to win this type of match is through pinfall or submission which was undermined during the recent contest between the Fiend and Seth Rollins where after their bout at this year’s event, was called off without a winner. It’s fair to say that fans in attendance were less than pleased with the call, but this match type remains one that fans love to see.
