The final overnight audience for the 10/4 Friday Night Smackdown debut on FOX was 3,888,000.
The Smackdown Blue Carpet Pre-Show at 7:30 PM Eastern on FOX brought in 2,329,000 overnight viewers.
An internal email issued by Vince McMahon within WWE today noted that the top rated segment was the opening segment featuring The Rock, Becky Lynch and Baron Corbin, bringing in four million viewers. It also championed the fact that Smackdown doubled the number two show that night in all the key demos. McMahon thanked everyone in the company for their help in achieving Smackdown's success last Friday.
Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeannie Buss and David McLane were in the first row at Smackdown in Los Angeles.
