I noticed WWE pulled the Hidden Gems that were built around Fabulous Moolah vs. Wendi Richter and Hulk Hogan vs. Roddy Piper. Any idea why?
I don't have a 100% confirmation on this, but my gut is, based on the fact that the only other content that was yanked unceremoniously from the WWE Network was the Stampede footage that Bret Hart had a legal claim to, is that perhaps there's a question of whether those shows are also owned by MTV, where they aired initially, so perhaps there's a question on where the legality lies. But, that's just my hunch. It could also be that something needed to be edited off the broadcasts, which does happen from time to time when WWE legal sees something (perhaps a song they don't have a license to, or someone they don't want seen on the Network footage, etc) and give guidance to those in charge.
Why did WWE wait until the last minute to pull Elias from Smackdown?
They announced that he was pulled literally two minutes after the decision was made not to let him wrestle.
What's next for Kevin Owens?
There's a lot of talk that Owens will be shifting to the NXT brand, at least short-term. Owens vs. Adam Cole for the NXT title sounds good to me.
So, really, is CM Punk coming back to wrestle?
Not as of today. He did note he was willing to talk to people about it when I interviewed him at Starrcast, but the offer "has to be good."
There was a lot of talk about WWE having a talk show on FOX Sports 1, but nothing has been announced. Any update?
Yes, we are told FOX will indeed be doing the show with WWE personalities and others as talking heads. It will be taped out of Los Angeles every week.
