PWInsider.com is told that Impact Wrestling will be retaining the usage of the LAX name if they desire now that Santana and Ortiz have departed the company. That duo will utilize a new team name going forward. Prior to Impact, they had been using EYFBO.
For those who have asked, we are told Lance Storm is not coming into Impact full-time after working as an agent/producer here. Storm announced he would be shutting down his Lance Storm Academy and would be returning full-time to working in the pro wrestling world. That leaves WWE and AEW as the most obvious places he's heading.
Impact will tape TV next Thursday 9/5 and Friday 9/6 in Las Vegas at Samstown Casino. Shamrock will be working those tapings.
There will also be a tryout/seminar on 9/4, promoted in conjuncton with Future Stars of Wrestling: "An opportunity to invest in yourself. Once again, FSW is hosting a Tryout with Impact Wrestling. Join us Wed Sept 4th at 4pm. Impact will be taping at Sam’s Town, Thur and Fri, Sept 5th and 6th. This is your chance to earn a spot on their tapings. Wrestlers, Referees, Managers and Ring Announcers have all performed at the tapings after the Tryout. Cost is $150, or $125 for anyone who attended a past tryout in Vegas. It will be Impact returns for Bella and Guerrero. This event will be a live Twitch special.
The Slammiversary 2019 DVD will be officially released on 10/8.
