WWE NXT UK REPORT: THE BUILD FOR TAKEOVER CARDIFF CONTINUES

We are in Plymouth, England and your announcers are Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness.

Match Number One: Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner versus Wild Boar and Primate

Primate and Aichner start things off. They lock up and go to a stalemate. They lock up and Aichner goes for the arm and connects with a shoulder tackle but Primate stays on his feet. Primate with a shoulder tackle and Aichner stays on his feet. Aichner with a knee to the midsection and then he applies an arm bar and slaps Primate in the head. Primate bites the ear and backs Aichner into his corner. Boar tags in and Barthel makes the tag. Barthel with an arm drag into an arm bar.

Boar with an arm drag but Barthel holds on and maintains the arm bar and chin lock. Boar with punches to Barthel and the referee pulls Boar out of the corner. Barthel with a double thrust to the throat and Barthel with punches. Barthel puts Boar into the turnbuckles and Aichner tags in and kicks Boar in the corner.

The referee warns Aichner and then he hits a back breaker and then hits a second one for a near fall. Barthel tags in and Aichner with a spineubster followed by a kick from Barthel for a near fall as Aichner takes care of Primate on the apron. Barthel with a rear chin lock while Primate enters the ring and the referee sends Primate back to the apron.

Boar with an arm drag and then Boar is able to tag in Primate. Aichner tags in and Primate with clotheslines. Aichner with a kick and Primate with an exploder for a near fall. Primate with a back body drop to Barthel. Primate with a splash into the corner and Boar tags in. Aichner sends Primate into Boar and Aichner sends Primate to the floor with some help from Barthel. Aichner with a rollup for a near fall.

Boar with a back senton and then he sends Barthel to the floor. Boar with a running senton into the corner but he misses a shoulder. Aichner and Barthel with stereo drop kicks and Aichner with a spinebuster to Primate on the apron followed by a baseball slide from Barthel. Barthel with a European uppercut off the turnbuckles while Aichner hits the power bomb for the three count.

Winners: Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel

Sid Scala is in the back and he announces a new match for Takeover Cardiff. After what happened last week, Noam Dar versus Travis Banks will be official. Given the animosity, Sid is looking forward to what goes down on the 31st.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Radzi is waiting for WALTER to emerge from his dressing room before he has his confrontation with Tyler Bate.

Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner walk by and they go into the locker room. There is some screaming and the video goes out. We see Marcel being laid out and someone walks away.

Match Number Two: Kay Lee Ray versus Shax

They lock up and Ray backs Shax into the corner and gives a clean break. They lock up and Shax sends Ray into the turnbuckles and gives a clean break. Ray with punches and forearms in the corner. Ray wraps the arm in the ropes and the referee warns Ray. Ray works on the arm and shoulder. Ray with a near fall. Ray with a forearm to the back.

Shax with an inside cradle for a near fall. Ray with a clothesline and she gets a near fall. Ray sends Shax into the turnbuckles and chops Shax. Ray with an Irish whip and she misses a clothesline. Shax with a forearm and punches. Shax comes off the turnbuckles and Ray with a crescent kick. Ray hits the Gory Bomb for the three count.

Winner: Kay Lee Ray

Kay Lee Ray says in ten days, we go to Cardiff and she is challenging the NXT UK Women’s Championship against the woman who claims it is always Toni Time. Kay Lee says Toni wants you to believe that she is this big star. Kay Lee says she has known Toni for a long time and she knows what kind of weak and fragile person Toni can be. She will take the one thing that means the most from Toni and that is the NXT UK Women’s Championship.

Toni Storm’s music plays and she makes her way to the ring.

Kay Lee comments on Toni as Toni enters the ring.

Kay Lee tells Toni she knows exactly why Toni likes to spend so much time away from home. Kay Lee says she gets to go home and be surrounded by friends and family. When you go home, you don’t have anything or anyone except for that shiny shiny. Have you ever thought for a second why everyone in your life has abandoned you? Kay Lee reminds Toni she was her best friend for years. She heard the sob stories. Did you ever stop to think that maybe it wasn’t everybody else. Maybe it was you.

You are the reason that we don’t talk any more. You are the reason that none of your friends or family call you any more. You are the reason that all of your ex-boyfriends sought the attention of other girls. You are the reason that your own father realized how worthless and pathetic you are. That is why he abandoned you.

Toni slaps Kay Lee Ray and Kay Lee leaves the ring.

We take a look at the recent issues between Dave Mastiff and Joe Coffey and the announcement by Sid Scala and Johnny Saint that their match in Cardiff will be Last Man Standing.

Dave says he will be doing the gritty stuff no one else wants to do in order to be successful. Joe says you have to be a wee bit insane to do what he does.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a video for Oliver Carter. He says next week we will see his NXT UK debut.

Radzi is with Jordan Devlin in the back. Jordan says he has seen the card for Takeover and it is not stacked because he is not on the show. What does he have to do to get on the card?

Kenny Williams arrives and he says that if Jordan didn’t complain, maybe he would be on Takeover. Kenny says that he can face him next week to show how lucky he is, against the Ace.

We see WALTER and Alexander Wolfe talking and Radzi tries to ask a question. WALTER wants to know where is the structure and order her. WALTER wants Radzi to tells Tyler Bate that he is a man of his word and he will see Tyler in the ring.

Match Number Three: Mark Andrews (with Flash Morgan Webster) versus James Drake (with Zack Gibson)

They lock up and Drake backs Andrews into the corner. Drake with a clean break but Andrews and Drake stare each other down. They lock up and Drake with a wrist lock. Drake lifts Andrews in the air and Drake sends Andrews to the mat. Andrews with a reversal and arm wringer. Andrews with an arm drag but Drake blocks an arm drag attempt. Andrews with an arm drag. Andrews with a rollup for a near fall.

Drake and Gibson discuss strategy before Drake chops Andrews and applies a side head lock. Andrews with a head scissors and kick to the legs followed by a standing moonsault for a near fall. Drake sends Andrews into the turnbuckles. Drake kicks Andrews in the back. Drake with a short arm clothesline to Andrews for a near fall. Drake with punches to Andrews. Drake gets a near fall.

Drake with a suplex and he gets a near fall. Andrews with a back elbow and kick in the corner. Andrews goes to the turnbuckles but Drake pulls Andrews off the turnbuckles. Drake with a back breaker. Drake with another back breaker. Drake gets a near fall. Drake with a Million Dollar Dream.

Andrews sends Drake into the turnbuckles. Drake returns to the Million Dollar Dream but Andrews with a victory roll and double stomp. Andrews with a series of kicks followed by a forearm. Andrews with an enzuigiri that sends Drake to the floor.

Andrews with a suicide dive onto Drake. Drake catches Andrews but Andrews counters with a DDT for a near fall. Andrews with a forearm from the apron and he goes up top. Andrews leaps over Drake and then hits a bulldog out of a wheelbarrow position. Andrews goes up top and Gibson goes to the steps to distract Andrews. Drake with a running drop kick into the corner and Drake gets a near fall. Drake gets another near fall.

Drake with punches and he gets a near fall. Andrews with chops while Drake taunts him. Andrews with forearms but Drake with an enzuigiri but Andrews with a reverse rana for a near fall. Mark Coffey and Wolfgang attack Webster at ringside and then Coffey has to hold Wolfgang back to prevent him from attacking Gibson. Andrews with Stundog Millionaire for the three count.

Winner: Mark Andrews

We see Trent Seven make his way to the ring through the crowd.

WALTER makes his way to the ring and he is followed by Alexander Wolfe, but Wolfe is hit with a chair in the ribs by Tyler Bate. Bate hits Wolfe in the back with the chair.

Seven with a forearm to WALTER to knock him off the apron. Bate misses WALTER with the chair but Seven with a punch and Bate hits WALTER with the chair.

Seven deals with Wolfe on the apron while Bate hits WALTER with the chair. WALTER with a slap and Bate with a rebound clothesline. Bate sets for Tyler Driver 97 and hits it.
Bate picks up the WWE UK title belt.
