A number of Impact stars worked for AAA in Mexico over the weekend, including Killer Kross, Scarlett Bordeaux and Tessa Blanchard. At one point, Bordeaux was sent into the guard rail, where she was grabbed physically by a fan (who should have been thrown out). Bordeaux took to social media about the incident, writing:
It is NEVER okay to touch a performer without their consent. I didn’t realize what happened until I watched the footage afterwards being so in the moment after a dive with my back turned otherwise I would have reacted much differently. Thnx to @LadyShaniAAA for having my back https://t.co/2YKT64sKIj

Just a final thought. If you wouldn’t want a stranger to grab you on the street, don’t do it to a wrestler as they’re putting their bodies on the line trying to entertain you. To the few who tried to justify this persons behavior-

What I wear is completely irrelevant. Could be a string bikini or a snowsuit, it doesn’t matter. My body is mine and you cannot touch me without my permission. Most fans I encounter are respectful, awesome people and I appreciate you.

Bordeaux also responded to a fan who, if you can believe this, wrote it was her fault because of the ring outfit that she wears while performing:
Sounds to me like you dont respect women unless they fit YOUR standard of what they should be. If someone finds the way I’m dressed attractive. It doesn’t give them the right to do whatever they want to me. Your lack of self control doesn’t mean you can violate whoever you please https://t.co/qX5TuuGgv6

There was absolutely unhappiness within Impact Wrestling management over Killer Kross' interview on the Petey Williams podcast. The feeling on Impact management's end is that they feel they have tried to work with Kross to offer a reworked contract and work with him on booking Kross out for third-party independent bookings. There was talk over the weekend that some in the company felt Kross may have broken the non-disparagement clause of his deal, with comparisons to Eli Drake. Having listened to the entire 35-minute interview Kross did with Williams (who is, of course, an Impact producer and performer, so the idea he would allow someone to knock the company on his show is kind of silly), I wouldn't state that is accurate. Kross never once attacked or knocked the company. He instead discussed his frustrations about being in his current situation (including the fact the story is even public) and wanting to make sure his family is better taken care of, as he felt as a man that fell on his shoulders. If anyone felt that Kross was disparaging the company, I'd guess they didn't listen to the actual interview, which they can do by clicking here.
Josh Mathews wrote a piece on the current Impact roster for Impact's official website at this link.
Scheduled for Friday's Impact Wrestling TV:
*Impact X-Division Champion Rich Swann vs. Michael Elgin vs. Johnny Impact
*Impact Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie vs. Su Yung (with Jim Mitchell & Havok)
*Tessa Blanchard vs. Jake Crist.
*Moose vs. Tommy Dreamer.
*Also appearing will be Eddie Edwards, Sami Callihan, Sawyer Fulton and more.
This past Friday's Impact on Twitch broadcast featured a number of technical issues with audio on segments that are done live with Don Callis and Melissa Santos to fill the commercial space of the episodes. I really wish the company could have one week where the football isn't yanked out from in front of them, Charlie Brown style.
The next Impact Plus live special will be the 7/5 Bash at the Brewery event in San Antonio, Texas at the Freetail Brewery with The North challenging Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions LAX.
The updated lineup for the 7/7 Impact Wrestling Slammiversary PPV features:
*Impact Champion Brian Cage vs. Michael Elgin.
*Impact Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie vs. Rosemary vs. Su Yung vs. Havok - Monster's Ball.
*Impact X-Division Champion Rich Swann vs. Johnny Impact.
*Rob Van Dam vs. Moose.
*Impact Tag Team Champions LAX vs. The Rascalz.
