WHICH LEGENDS COULD, BUT SHOULDN’T, COME BACK, TOUGH SCHEDULE, IS VINCE TRYING TO KILL HIS PRODUCT AND MORE

In all of the years you have covered wrestling, have you ever seen a more brutal and grueling schedule wrestlers had to work than WWF in the 1980s?

That was one tough schedule, for sure.  Talent was on the road a lot in the territories too but they didn't cover the whole country.  Yep, that was a rough schedule.

Remember when the NWO came to WWE?  Vince did the promo basically saying WWE was his vision and he was going to kill it?  Is it just me or does it feel like he's actually trying to do that with his booking and things like the Saudi Show.  With each day that passes he pushes me further and further away from the main roster.

I get that it seems like he is trying to drive you away as a fan but the scary thing is that he isn't.  He just, in my opinion, has lost touch with what the fan base wants.  It's understandable given his age and his position in life.  He is too old to really understand younger people and too rich to really understand regular people.

With all of these nostalgia matches going on for these Saudi Arabia shows, do you think any of these legends could be back in the ring in WWE for a "final" match?  Why or why not?  I could see someone like Hogan working a battle royal and winning it or something.

Hulk Hogan/nWo
Sting
Stone Cold Steve Austin
Shawn Michaels
Mick Foley
The Rock

OK first the question to me is SHOULD they wrestle again.  Your question is could they.  So let’s answer both, with the premise being wrestle an actual match, not be part of a tag or something like that. Let’s also remember that we just saw two guys in Goldberg and Taker who looked their age, and had an ugly match.

Hulk Hogan/nWo

No and No.  He’s almost 66 years old and that body has a lot of miles on it.  WWE doesn’t want the problems that would come with Hogan getting hurt trying to wrestle.  No!  Ditto for Hall and Nash.  Too many miles.

Sting

No and Maybe.  Last time he worked against Seth Rollins he got really hurt.  He suffered a neck injury that, last I heard, he didn’t get surgery on.  If he gets the surgery, his career is over.  He has said he wants a match with Undertaker but Taker looks old now too.  Plus, Sting is 60 years old.

Stone Cold Steve Austin

No and no.  He has the neck condition that could render him paralyzed if he takes the wrong bump.  At 54 years old, he would be a fool to do it.  Plus, he has resisted every other opportunity to come back.

Shawn Michaels

No and yes.  HBK was part of the tag match debacle in Saudi Arabia and has made it pretty clear he should be done but he also is working down at NXT and in great shape.  I could see him helping Vince again if asked, even if he didn’t want to.

Mick Foley

No and no.  The man did the show where he couldn’t even put his shoes on.  There’s no way you let him bump at this point in his life.

The Rock

Tough one here.  Should he?  Technically yes he could.  He’s still pretty young and in great shape.  But, he’s also a movie star and got injured wrestling John Cena at WrestleMania when he did a part time match.  So I am going to say no, it doesn’t happen.

Did Dave actually write:   "Honestly, I DON'T like to form my own opinions rather than be influenced by someone else."???

I did!  It was a typo!  I meant I like to form my own opinions!  DOH!
