WWE star Mickie James announced via her Instagram account that she indeed suffered a torn ACL over the weekend while wrestling Carmella and will undergo surgery to repair the tear. James did not specify when the surgery was slated to take place.
James is scheduled to perform in concert on Friday 6/7 at the at the CMA Fest Xfinity Fan Fair at Music City Center in Nashville at 12 PM local time.
James was injured this past Saturday wrestling Carmella in Waco, Texas, requiring the match to go right to the finish. The next day, James was replaced against Carmella by Zelina Vega in College Station, Texas.
Recovery from ACL surgery can take 6-9 months, which could put James out of action until early 2020 at the earliest.
