WWE made the call to immediately end the Samoa Joe vs. Rey Mysterio match for the WWE United States title on tonight's Money in the Bank PPV due to blood, PWInsider.com has confirmed.
It appeared Joe suffered a broken nose which catching Mysterio during a sit-down senton early in the match with heavy blood flow.
The bout ended almost immediately after, but WWE went forward with a planned post-match angle.
Lar Sullivan also ended up bloody, but not as bad. It appeared he was hurt executing a flying headbutt later on in the show against Kalisto during an angle where he attacked the Lucha House Party, but it turned down Kalisto drilled him with a hard shot instead.
