By Stuart Carapola on 2019-05-18 00:02:00

Welcome to the Impact Wrestling Report here on PWInsider.com!

We start off with the usual video looking back at last week's show, then we go to the 2300 Arena for our opening match...

Knockouts Battle Royal

Glenn Gilberti comes out, says Scarlett's win over him was a fluke, says Impact is going to get thrown off the air for putting women's wrestling on, and then he enters the match.  Bell rings, all the other girls jump him and chase him out, so he goes to sit with the announcers while the action unfolds.  There's about a dozen girls in here, including a lot of ladies in here I don't recognize, which tells me it's going to come down to Madison Rayne, Tessa Blanchard, Kiera Hogan, and Jordynne Grace.  Jordynne nearly breaks Madison in half with a backbreaker while the new girls all take turns hitting their shine spots.  Tessa tosses two of the newbs who were fighting on the apron, then Jordynne gets rid of two newbs of her own.  Tessa press slams Alisha Edwards to the floor, then Jordynne whips Kiera into the corner so hard she nearly went through it.  Kiera responds with a superkick, tries putting Jordynne over the top with a clothesline, but Jordynne shuts that down real quick and tries to toss Kiera, who slides right back in.  Jordynne fights with Tessa on the apron, Kiera knocks Jordynne to the floor, and Scarlett hits a running stinkface on Madison.  Madison dodges a second attempt, but Taya Valkyrie comes out and attacks Madison, pulls her off the paron, rams her into the post, and dumps her back into the ring.  Tessa sends Madison right back out, and we're down to Tessa, Scarlett, and Kiera as we go to commercial.

We come back as Scarlett goes out and we come down to Kiera and Tessa, they both go to the apron and trade shots, Kiera tries a kick and Tessa catches it, then dumps her to the floor.  Tessa comes back into the ring, and suddenly Gilberti pops into the ring, wipes Tessa out with a clothesline, and tosses her to win the match.

Winner: Glenn Gilberti

Tessa is furious as Glenn triumphantly scurries off to the back.

Josh and Don talk about stuff, then Michael Elgin finds Willie Mack in the parking lot and says he must feel good about being the only guy Elgin hasn't sent to the hospital, but they can do it now.  Mack wastes no time drilling Elgin with a quick right hand, but Elgin fires back and powerbombs Mack into the side of a truck and lets him fall to the floor as we go back to commercial.

Rolando finds Michael Elgin, who says he got sick of waiting for his chance, and decided to take it for himself.  He's been sending people to the hospital, and Elgin starts talking smack on Willie Mack, and Rich Swann comes in to stick up for his friend.  Elgin asks Swann if he wants a trip to the hospital, and Swann responds by drilling him with a right hand.  They start brawling and a bevy of officials come out to separate them.

Demon Collar Match: Su Yung vs Rosemary

The chain is attached, and the tug of war begins.  Both ladies disengage, each spews their proprietary colored mist, and they start swinging.  Rosemary just ragdolls Su across the ring, wraps the chain around her neck, and does it again.  They go to the floor, and Rosemary climbs over the turnbuckle to the other side of the post, then USES THE CHAIN TO HANG SU.  DAAAMN!  Back into the ring they go, but then they head right back to the floor where Su uses the chain to pull Rosemary into the post, then rams her into the barricade.  Su uses the chain to drag Rosemary up the ramp, but Rosemary pulls Su into her and hits a clothesline that sends both of them crashing down.  They crawl back to the ring, they trade shots, and Su uses the chain to trip Rosemary, then whips Rosemary with the chain.  Rosemary wraps the chain around Su's neck and hits a neckbreaker, but su sends Rosemary face first into the corner with a flying headscissors.  Su hits a hanging Pedigree for 2, then takes the nasty glove out and goes for the mandible claw.  Su tries misting Rosermary, Rosemary ducks it, but stands up and gets caught in the claw.  Rosemary uses the chain to pull Su into a misting, hits a DDT, hits an F5, and gets the win.

Winner: Rosemary

Rosemary celebrates by using the chain to drag Su to the back by her neck.

Melissa Santos finds Madison Rayne backstage, and Madison is fuming over Taya, and says she knows Taya realizes her time is up, she's beaten her three times, and her reign is up when she gets her in the ring.

Madman Fulton vs Randy Shawn

I'm smelling squash.  Shawn tries a few right hands, sees they're having no effect, and starts to beg off.  It's to no avail, as Fulton just dogs him into the corner and starts rapid fire bashing Shawn's head into the turnbuckles.  Fulton ragdolls Shawn back and forth across the ring, no-sells more punches, a trio of chokeslams, and a spinning powerslam into a flatliner kind of looking move for the win.

Winner: Madman Fulton

Fulton continues attacking Shawn after the match, and Sami comes in and literally drags him off.

Melissa is backstage with Rob Van Dam, who says it's awesome to be back in the Arena, they each made the other, and next week he's going to face Tommy Dreamer, and he loves Tommy, but can't wait to give him a Van Daminator.

Rolando is with the company's head doctor with a medical update on Brian Cage, who discovered that Cage has...well, a whole bunch of back and neck problems.  Cage is already in great condition given the injury, but he can't give a good update on his return to the ring just now.

Killer Kross vs Eddie Edwards

Eddie rushes the ring, Kross catches him coming in, but Eddie sends Kross to the floor and wipes him out with a dive.  He likes it so much he does it again and lays in some chops, but Kross takes control with a suplex and then stomps Eddie in the corner.  Kross continues dishing out punishment until Eddie hits a blue thunder bomb, followed by a super Frankensteiner...for 1.  The two maniacs go toe-to-toe, Eddie hits a Tiger Driver for 2, Kross knocks Eddie to the floor, Eddie gets Kenny out from under the ring, but takes too long nailing him and gets dumped on his head with a backdrop suplex.  Kross covers for the win.

Winner: Killer Kross

Kross knocks Eddie back out with a superkick, then zip ties Eddie to the ropes and says he has to do this.  He gets Kenny, winds back, takes a run at Eddie...and stops.  Eddie yells at Kross to hit him, but Kross snaps Kenny in half over his knee instead and leaves him in front of Eddie, who is beside himself with grief.

The Rascalz are backstage getting high when they decide to start training.  We see a Rocky IV-esque training montage of them...well, training like you'd expect them to.  They do attempt the steps at the Spectrum, but that doesn't go so well.

We go to the Impact Plus Flashback, which is a match between Kongo Kong (hey, remember him?) and Brian Cage.

Rich Swann is backstage, and he's...WARMING UP!  He faces Michael Elgin in the main event...NEXT!

The North is backstage arguing over last week and whether they're done with RVD.  Moose comes in to try and calm things down.  He says something I didn't catch, but it must have been pretty deep since both Ethan and Josh appear to have had their thoughts stirred by Moose's wisdom.

Josh and Don talk about stuff, then it's...MAIN EVENT TIME!

Michael Elgin vs Rich Swann

Feeling out process to start us off, then Elgin does lucha (!) with Swann and actually takes him to an indy stalemate.  Yipes!  Swann uses his speed to pepper Elgin with offense, but Elgin nearly turns Swann inside out AND back again with a release German suplex for 2.  Elgin hammers Swan with a huge chop, and continues unloading the heavy duty offense and hits a slingshot splash for another 2.  Swann blocks a superplex, headbutts Elgin into the ring, and comes off the top rope...right into a dropkick from Big Mike.  Elgin covers for 2, hits a bicycle kick, and Swann counters a powerbomb attempt to a DDT.  Elgin goes to the floor, Swann takes him out with a dive, then another, then he goes to the top rope for a huge, twisting dive.  Back into the ring where Swann hits a top rope elbow for 2 as we go to commercial.

We come back as Elgin is just unloading on Swann with offense.  He kills Swann with a series of hard lariats, Swann comes back with kicks, but Elgin flattens him with another big clothesline.  Elgin hits a spinning sitout uranage for 2, then tries a top rope something that Swann tries to counter to a super Frankensteiner, but Elgin holds onto him, tries for a powerbomb, but Swann uses the momentum to counter to the super Frankensteiner.  Swann hits the springboard cutter followed by a second rope 450 for a really close 2.  Elgin rolls out of the way of a phoenix splash attempt by Swann, then comes off the ropes with a lariat that I'm surprised didn't take Swann's head off, then follows that up with Splash Mountain, but Swann again is somehow able to kick out.  Elgin with a buckle bomb, but Swann counters an Elgin bomb attempt to an inverted Frankensteiner, then hits a second one, followed by a superkick, and both men are down.  Swann crawls over and makes a cover, but Elgin kicks out at 2.  Elgin rolls to the floor, Swann tries a dive, Elgin catches him and powerbombs him into the ringpost, does it again, and goes for a third.  The referee tries to physically restrain Elgin, but Elgin shoves him away before powerbombing Swann into the post again.  The referee calls for the bell.

Winner by DQ: Rich Swann

Elgin is not a happy man, he chases the referee to the back, sends Swann back into the ring, and goes for yet another powerbomb when Willie Mack runs in, attacks Elgin, and hits a Samoan drop followed by the standing moonsault.  Johnny Impact runs in and attacks Mack, knocking him out with a Tidal Krush.  Impact drills Swann with a knee to the face for kicks, then gets in Elgin's face.  They have a staredown...and we call it a night right there.
