New Impact Wrestling Champion Brian Cage was rushed to the emergency room following his match with Johnny Impact. Impact Wrestling made the announcement on their social media.
PWInsider.com has confirmed that is legitimate and not an angle. Cage is believed to have suffered a back injury.
Cage was legitimately banged up just three minutes into his match with Impact, taking a Spanish Fly off the rampway to the ring to the floor. While Cage pushed through and finished the match, as well as a post-match angle and beatdown at the hands of the debuting Michael Elgin, he was legitimately hurt and was taken to the hospital right after he returned to the locker room.
