CHRIS SABIN UNDERGOES SUCCESSFUL ACL SURGERY

By Mike Johnson on 2019-04-24 15:22:00

Former Impact Wrestling Champion Chris Sabin underwent successful surgery to repair an ACL tear suffered this past January while wrestling for Ring of Honor.

Sabin commented on his Twitter account about the surgery, writing:

Mike R., who was in attendance noted the night Sabin suffered the injury during a ROH TV Taping in Atlanta, wrote at the time, "After taking a bump halfway through the match, Sabin rolled to the outside and grabbed at his knee.  Trainers came over, and Sabin did not participate in the rest of the match.   At the end of the match, Sabin was assisted out of the ringside area being taken out through a different exit than the other wrestlers."

This was the third ACL tear of Sabin's career that required surgery to repair.  Sabin suffered knee injuries in 2011 and 2012 while performing for Impact Wrestling.

Sabin's ROH deal has expired and since then, he has worked as an agent/producer for Impact Wrestling.    There is no known timetable for his return to the ring.
