MATCH ONE: Fredericks & Connors v. CCK (Chris Brookes & Jonathan Gresham)

Two Young Lions from the LA Dojo here to take on CCK.

This was a really good opener. They got almost 15 minutes and they made the most of it. The Young Lions did a hell of a job and did the stuff that Lions do, such as a double Boston Crab spot. They were made to look strong. Gresham got the win after a flurry of strikes including a running forearm.

WINNER: CCK

MATCH TWO: Carlos Romo v. A-Kid v. Kid Lykos v. Flamita

This was a four-way with all high flyers who did a lot of high flying. It was fun and the audience enjoyed it. Romo got the win after stealing a pin from A-Kid on Flamita.

WINNER: Carlos Romo

MATCH THREE: The OJMO v. Brian Cage

The story it OJMO having to overcome the power of Cage was good, but it was clear OJMO still needs some more ring time as he blew a few big spots. The crowd was forgiving, though, so it didn’t kill the match.

Cage got the win with the Steiner Screwdriver.

WINNER: Brian Cage

MATCH FOUR: British Tag Team Titles Suzuki-Gun (Minoru Suzuki & Zack Sabre, Jr.) v. Will Ospreay & Hiroshi Tanahashi

The reactions for all four were incredible.

The same can be said for this match. It delivered in every way. All four men were highlighted at different points, but Suzuki was the real star of this match based on crowd reaction. The crowd popped huge for all of his signature spots. The finish saw ZSJ score a nice pinning combo with a bridge on Ospreay.

WINNERS: Suzuki-Gun

MATCH FIVE: Rocky Romero v. Ryusuke Taguchi

This was a comedy match that got time and both guys worked really hard. The crowd really enjoyed it. Taguchi won with the Dodon.

WINNER: Ryusuke Taguchi

MATCH SIX: Tomohiro Ishii v. “The Product” David Starr

Really good match and another strong showing from Starr. They worked a NEVER Title match style that was hard hitting and Starr held his end of the bargain and then-some. Ishii got the win with the Brainbuster.

WINNER: Tomohiro Ishii

MAIN EVENT: Roppongi 3K (Sho & Yoh) v. Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher)

Solid main event. A little bit of a rough spot for them since a lot of people left to get to Brooklyn for NXT, but they did great in the position. Aussie Open held their own under the pressure of working a big NJPW team.

Aussie Open got the win, which isn’t surprising as I’ve heard rumblings they’re headed to NJPW soon.

WINNERS: Aussie Open

Overall, this was a very good show. It hurt that the main event went on fourth, but I’m assuming the NJPW guys had to leave early. The tag between Suzuki-Gun and Tana/Will is definitely worth finding.
