Politico.com is reporting that Linda McMahon will be resigning from her position President Donald Trump's cabinet to return to the private sector. McMahon has not publicly commented on the report.
McMahon has served as the Head of Small Business Administration over the course of Trump's Presidency. She was sworn in to the position in February 2017, confirmed by a vote of 81-19, which meant many Democrats supported McMahon's appointment and didn't vote along party lines at the time.
McMahon, who was a huge financial supporter of Trump's campaign, was the President and CEO of the WWF (later WWE) from 1980 to 2009, appearing on camera during the Attitude Era and beyond. The year she exited WWE, McMahon was named to the Connecticut Board of Education and later attempted to run for United States Senate unsuccessfully.
Her decision to return to the private sector certainly opens up questions about whether she may be returning to join WWE or the XFL but there is no sign that is in the works.
