Steven Fernandes reporting:

On 3/19, WWE filed their opposition to 'Sister Abigail' being registered and trademarked to Tatevik Hunanyan aka Tatevik the Gamer.

In their opposition, they noted the following:

Windham Rotunda is a WWE Superstar.  Since 2012, Mr. Rotunda has performed for WWE under the trademarked ring name Bray Wyatt. As part of a storyline involving the Bray Wyatt character, WWE created the SISTER ABIGAIL character.  WWE used the SISTER ABIGAIL character in connection with performances by Bray Wyatt in WWE programming. In connection with the foregoing, WWE owns common law trademark rights in SISTER ABIGAIL for wrestling entertainment services. The popularity, success, and recognition of Opposer’s SISTER ABIGAIL mark are the direct result of the time and money invested by WWE in development, marketing and promotion of the mark.  The SISTER ABIGAIL Mark is uniquely and exclusively associated with WWE and has become indelibly linked in the public’s mind in exclusive association with and in exclusive sponsorship by WWE. WWE has used and continues to use its SISTER ABIGAIL mark in connection with its wrestling entertainment services through its programming which is distributed internationally through the WWE Network and is available on WWE’s other official online outlets (e.g., wwe.com and WWE’s YouTube channel).  WWE’s use of SISTER ABIGAIL predates any date of first use upon which Applicant can rely.  Despite the use and recognition of WWE’s SISTER ABIGAIL mark, and to unfairly trade on that use and recognition, Applicant has filed an application to register the identical Sister Abigail Application in International Class 41 for identical services -- "entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer". In fact, Applicant was an extra for WWE in 2016 and 2017 and expressed a desire to portray the WWE SISTER ABIGAIL character in WWE programming.  Applicant never portrayed the WWE SISTER ABIGAIL character and is now attempting to usurp WWE’s intellectual property by filing the Sister Abigail Application.

Hunanyan has until 4/28 to respond.

WWE posted the following:

If the stars align for The Undisputed ERA during WrestleMania Week, NXT’s most notorious faction could end up in possession of not only the NXT Championship, but also the EVOLVE Championship by the time they leave New York.

Kyle O’Reilly will challenge for the EVOLVE Title held by Austin Theory at EVOLVE 125 on Thursday, April 4, at La Boom in Queens, N.Y. That’s in addition to Undisputed ERA’s already busy WrestleMania Week which includes Adam Cole battling Johnny Gargano for the newly vacant NXT Title in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match at TakeOver: New York.

O’Reilly made his EVOLVE Championship ambitions known last weekend, delivering a video message to Theory after the latter’s match against WWN Champion JD Drake at EVOLVE 124.

“How fitting, the brand-new, evolved Kyle O’Reilly will become the brand-new EVOLVE Champion,” O’Reilly warned Theory.

Theory’s issues with Undisputed ERA began last month at EVOLVE 121 in Atlanta, when he confronted Cole, who was making a guest appearance on the show. The brash EVOLVE Champion told Cole that Undisputed ERA should ditch O’Reilly — whom Theory called “dead weight” — and instead add him to their ranks. If Theory thought the strategy would endear him to the group, O’Reilly’s fiery response suggests otherwise.

NXT Superstars and former EVOLVE Tag Team Champions The Street Profits will also be in action on April 4, battling members of The Unwanted in singles matches. Montez Ford will take on Shane Strickland and Angelo Dawkins will face Colby Corino. O’Reilly and The Street Profits will all be available for meet-and-greets at 11 a.m. ET. You must have a ticket to EVOLVE 125 to take part in the meet-and-greets. Bell time is noon ET.
