WHY FOX WANTED SMACKDOWN, PUNK & AJ, CHRIS HARRIS AND MORE

If convicted, will Jonathan Fatu be serving time at the Uso Penitentiary?

If he truly wants to live the gimmick!

We are coming up on the 5th year anniversary of CM Punk's last Royal Rumble.  It's got me thinking, how do CM Punk and AJ Lee currently generate income? I know AJ released a book last year and CM Punk is with UFC (maybe?), but I don't know too much else since they left WWE.  I haven't heard of them being affiliated with any other wrestling companies either.

Punk had a seven-figure payday for his first UFC fight and likely made decent month for his second fight.  Lee published her book, which did very well.  They’ve each had some acting gigs.  Punk has a film coming out.  They've done signing appearances.  If they saved their money from their WWE runs, where they both made great money, they could have invested and been fine.  It’s not like they were making pennies before they left WWE!

My question is related to this WWE-FOX deal.  From the outside this looks like a sweet deal. Amazing monetary value, and they are putting them on Friday night.  Help me understand why pay that much money for a product and put them on Friday nights?  If Smackdown stays in the 2’s they would be one the highest rated shows for Fridays.

FOX is changing their network in the wake of Disney buying most of their assets.  One of things they are doing is focusing on more live, sports programming.  That’s where Smackdown comes in.

After watching the latest episode of Edge and Christian and they showed footage of Braden Walker from WWE's ECW it made me wonder about Chris Harris and TNA. Was there a reason why he never returned to TNA full time? Did he have some heat with management?  It's weird because at the early stages of America's Most Wanted I thought he would be the "Shawn Michaels" of that team.

He left Impact and to my knowledge, there was never any real conversation about him returning to the company.  When his WWE run didn’t pan out, it wasn’t like there was a bit push for him to return.  The bloom was off the rose.

Maybe it’s just me but I would much rather see a Wrestlemania card that has the WWE universal champion Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins instead of Brock vs Rollins or Strowman. I don’t see the Universal championship really being needed for Brock vs Strowman. They are over enough that the belt wouldn’t matter. A match with Rollins and Balor would be way more entertaining. Am I the only one who thinks this makes much better sense?

It may be better, but WWE doesn’t believe Balor would mean as much as Rollins and Lesnar do in a top Mania slot.

How well can Jeff Hardy see through his cool looking contacts?

I can’t speak for Hardy and I’ve never worn contacts, but my guess is he can see just fine or else he wouldn’t chance putting himself into a dangerous situation where he could get hurt in the ring by wrestling with limited vision.
