Add Shawn Daivari to the list of new Producers starting with WWE this week. There had been reports floating back over the last month that he was coming in. Daivari had been heading up the ACADEMY wrestling school in Minneapolis with Ken Anderson and Molly Holly in recent years.
While many of the new hires were fairly recent, there had been overtures to Shane Helms for some time about coming on board as a Producer, PWInsider.com has confirmed. Helms did a great job as a Producer during his time with Impact Wrestling.
WWE NXT referees Drake Yuertz and D.A. Brewer are backstage at Smackdown.
On 1/10, Riki Paul Johnson, the ex-husband of Charlotte Flair was granted an extension to file an amended lawsuit against Ric Flair, World Wrestling Entertainment, Charlotte Flair and author Brian Shields Johnson's original lawsuit surrounded claims made about him in the WWE book Second Nature, which told an intertwining story about the careers and lives of Ric and Charlotte. He is being given until 3/15 to file. The defendants have been given until 3/28 to respond to the original lawsuit in case there is no new version filed. If there is, the clock on their response would be reset by the U.S. District Court, Western District of North Carolina.
