DANIEL BRYAN ON HIS HEEL TURN, REPLICAS ON RAW, TYE DILLINGER AND MORE WWE NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2019-01-24 11:34:00

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey both wore ttle belt replicas on this past week's edition of Monday Night Raw.  WWE usually has multiple of their title belts in case of any issues, so either the wrong belt was handed to them or a belt was forgotten at home.

In regard to Royal Rumble surprises, we are told that if there are going to be any, the decision would have been made at TV this past week.  We haven't confirmed any outside names being brought in as of this morning, but if we do confirm anyone, we'll report.  Just wanted to mention that since it's been a big email topic the last 24 hours.

Daniel Bryan was interviewed this week by Newsweek to discuss his heel turn, noting he wants to be more hated than Brock Lesnar.  On the turn, Bryan said, "It’s interesting because even my bad guy stuff in WWE before, one in 2012 — that’s a long time ago now. But a lot of it is based on my confidence and my ability to understand what it is that we do, and understanding myself. That’s the most interesting thing about wrestling in general. It’s martial arts-esque, and you learn a lot about yourself by doing it. You learn about the things you believe and don’t believe. You learn how to properly move your body, different ways to get people to react and not react to certain things.  When I was a bad guy before that, I was most proud of and most reminiscent of when I was in the independents in a Ring Of Honor-type setting. But even then I wasn’t as developed a performer as I am now.   WWE has really helped in that regard and even my time off helped because as the General Manager all I did was talking segments, and that’s not what I’m naturally good at. But I’ve always been somebody who tries to do their best with everything they’ve been given, whether it’s working at McDonalds when I was 15 years-old, delivering newspapers or being the general manager of SmackDown. Trying to get as good as I possibly can, and that helps when it’s time to really turn it on and get more comfortable out there. It really made it seem more natural."  You can read the entire interview, which was really interesting and featured Bryan stating that no one is as a complete wrestler as he is today, at this link.

Tye Dillinger is slated to be back on the road as of this weekend at the Rumble and the subsequent TV tapings.

Nikki and Brie Bella will be on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon tomorrow evening.

Nia Jax took to Twitter to compliment Bayley for their NXT Takeover bout in London, which was Jax's first major bout on live TV:
