MLW FUSION REPORT: HART FOUNDATION, ACE ROMERO, RUSH, AND MORE

We are in Miami, Florida and your announcers are Tony Schiavone and Rich Bocchini.

Shane Strickland is in the ring as we start tonight’s show and he has something to say.

Strickland says you didn’t think MLW would come to Miami without Swerve. He says he hates this place as much as any of you. He says the reason why he is here is because MLW paid him an assload of money to perform because not one person in the locker room compares to his worth in professional wrestling. Shane says he is the gold standard in professional wrestling.

Rush makes his way to the ring and he takes the mic from Shane.

Rush says how about him . . . perro.

Match Number One: Rush versus Shane Strickland

Strickland attacks Rush from behind and the referee rings the bell.

Stricklan kicks and punches Rush and sends Rush to the floor. Strickland goes to the floor and he kicks Rush in the head. Strickland with punches and then he sends Rush into the ring post and guardrail. Strickland runs Rush into the ring post. Strickland with a punch and he sends Rush back into the ring. Strickland gets a near fall.

Strickland chops Rush and then removes his shirt and punches Rush. Strickland with kicks. Rush with a chop and Strickland with a kick and back elbow for a near fall. Strickland chokes Rush with his boot and the referee warns him. Rush with forearms and punches. Strickland with an Irish whip and he blocks a boot and connects with an uppercut and drop kick to the leg in the ropes and Strickland gets a near fall.

Strickland with a knee bar and he gets a near fall when Rush’s shoulders go to the mat. Strickland with a rear chin lock. Strickland with a knee and kick to the chest. Strickland with more kicks to the chest. Strickland continues with the kicks to the chest. Rush with a forearm and both go to the floor. Rush with a chop and he sends Strickland into the announce table. Rush Irish whips Strickland into the guardrails. They fight into the crowd and Rush picks up a trash can and throws it at Strickland and connects. They return to the ring and Rush kicks Strickland in the corner. Rush charges into the corner and stops short of Strickland and then he kicks Strickland in the head. Rush gets tranquilo as Strickland struggles to get back to his feet. Rush with a kick to the chest and then he chops Strickland. Rush with another chop. Rush goes for a power bomb but Strickland with a back body drop. Strickland with a punch and Rush with a forearm. Strickland and Rush exchange strikes. Strickland with a jab and punches to the head. Rush with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex followed by a drop kick for a near fall.

Rush argues with the referee and Strickland gets a near fall with a rollup. Rush kicks Strickland in the head and he tries for a suplex but Strickland blocks it. Rush with a knee and Strickland with a German suplex and Rush with a German suplex of his own. Strickland with a cutter for a near fall. Strickland goes up top and Rush stops him. Rush with a chop and he climbs the turnbuckles for a superplex and hits it. Rush gets a near fall.

Rush with a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Rush with boots to Strickland and then he points to the crowd. Rush goes up top and misses a back senton when Strickland moves. Strickland goes up top and hits a double stomp for a near fall. Strickland with a brainbuster for a near fall. Strickland with a kick to the head and he gets a near fall.

Strickland with a boot to the head and punches to Rush. Strickland pushes Rush and Rush with chops. Strickland with punches. Rush with a chop and kicks. Rush with a running drop kick into the corner and he gets a near fall. Rush goes for the Rush Driver and hits it for the three count.

Winner: Rush

We go to commercial.

We are back and we see footage from last week when Tom Lawlor confronted Sami Callihan in the back.

Salina de la Renta is in the back and she is asked about the match between Sami Callihan and LA Park. She says she did it because Sami had one job and instead of solving the problem, he became the problem. LA Park will do the job until you are fired or dead.

Barrington Hughes is on commentary for the next match.

Match Number Two: Ace Romero versus Ariel Dominguez

Dominguez with a waist lock and Romero tosses Ariel aside. Ariel is sent to the apron and Ariel with a chop. Ace suplexes Ariel back into the ring. Ace with an Irish whip but he misses a splash into the corner. Ace with a drop kick. Ace goes for a power bomb but Ariel with punches and he goes for a sunset flip. Dominguez cannot get Ace over and Ace misses a leg drop.

Ariel with clotheslines and Ace stays on hie feet. Ariel with a flying shoudler tackle and he bounces off Ace. Ace catches Ariel on a cross body and slams him. Ace with an elbow drop for the three count.

Winner: Ace Romero

After the match, Ace stares down Hughes from the ring and Hughes gets up from the announce table.

Brian Pillman Jr. rhetorically asks why is he at a playground on the rooftop and he says he is ecstatic because he beat Tommy Dreamer at his own game. He buried Tommy’s career. Where will they fight again? What will the enviornment be? Will they be able to use weapons? The world is his playground and he begs Tommy to take it to the stars, the moon, or your own backyard. Brian says he will follow Tommy and it will not be him on his knee begging for mercy, it will be Tommy.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we go to Low Ki in the interview area. He is asked about being undefeated for 15 years. Ki says he has solidified himself as the greatest MLW Champion of all time. Tom Lawlor, you get to join a luxurious list of competitors who have failed over the years. People like Morrison, Rey Fenix, Daga, Shane Strickland . . . twice. You get to be a part of history. The honor will be yours, but the pleasure will be mine.

Match Number Three: Ricky Martinez (with Salina de la Renta) versus Gringo Loco

Martinez with an Irish whip and Loco floats over. Martinez kicks Loco and hits a head scissors take down but Loco with a cartwheel and he lands on his feet. Martinez with a sunset flip but Loco rolls through. Loco with a leg sweep and misses a moonsault. Loco with an arm drag and leg sweep. Martinez offers his hand and he kicks Loco’s hand and hits a jumping neck braeker.

Martinez drives Loco’s head into the mat. Martinez gets a near fall. Loco with a thrust kick and he floats over in the corner and hits a sit out power bomb for a near fall. Loco with a forearm and shoulder tackle. Martinez goes up top and Loco stops him. Loco climbs the turnbuckles and goes for a Super Falcon Arrow and he gets a near fall.

Loco goes up top and he hits a double jump cutter for a near fall. Loco goes to the turnbuckles and Salina pulls Ricky out of the way as Loco misses a corkscrew splash. Martinez rakes the eyes and hits a gutbuster from the shoulders for the three count.

Winner: Ricky Martinez

Colonel Robert Parker tells the Dirty Blondes that his grandfather invented the tag match. His family has 100 years of experience in this business. You are going to act like more than a couple of farm boys. You are going to win or he will find someone to do something about it.

We go to commercial.

We are back with comments from Tom Lawlor. He says we are a few weeks away from SuperFight and he has been thinking about the past 7 months. He had to go through 39 people at Battle Riot to get what he desrved. That title shot is his. Speaking of jobs, Low Ki, you have been on the same job for 15 years, talking about how you are undefeated in MLW. Tom says he does not see a guy getting the job done. He is outsourcing it to people. Whether it was Simon Gotch, Sami Callihan, Little Ricky, the fat skeleton, the skinny skeleton, Salina the teenage witch. It does not matter because they will be out of the way on February 2nd. The Professional will be out of a job after 15 years. How will you feel when that all goes to waste in six seconds when you go to sleep.

We go to the SuperFight Control Center. Matt announces that MLW’s next live special will be on February 2nd at 8PM. We will see the MLW Tag Team Championship match on the live special.

Gringo Loco faces Puma King. Maxwell Jacob Friedman returns to action. Tommy Dreamer and Brian Pillman Jr. will pick partners for a tag match. Ace Romero will face Simon Gotch. Mance Warner will make his debut in Philadelphia. Rey Horus will face Aerostar. Low Ki faces Tom Lawlor for the MLW Championship. The Lucha Brothers will defend the MLW Tag Team Championships against the Hart Foundation.

Match Number Four: Leo Brien and Michael Patrick (with Colonel Robert Parker) versus Brian Pillman Jr. and Davey Boy Smith Jr.

Smith and Brien start things off and they lock up. Smith pats Brien on the chest on the break. Brien with a punch and elbow but Smith with a drop kick. Smith with a side head lock and shoudler tackle. Smith with a suplex and he sends Brien into Pillman’s boot. Brian tags in and he chops Brien. Brien with a forearm and chop followed by an Irish whip. Pillman with a drop kick into the corner.

Pillman with a forearm and European uppercut. Patrick makes the tag and Pillman misses a drop kick. Patrick kicks and punches Pillman. Patrick sends Pillman into the turnbuckles and he bites Pillman. Patrick sends Brian into Brien’s boot and Brien tags in. Brien with a chop and snap mare. Brien with a near fall.

Brien with a reverse chin lock. Pillman with forearms and he runs into a back elbow. Brien with kicks and then Patrick joins in the attack while the referee deals with Smith on the apron. Patrick with kicks and forearms followed by a snpa mare and reverse chin lock. Pillman with a European uppercut and cross body for a near fall. Brien tags in and so does Smith. Smith wit a kick and he sends Brien and Patrick into each other. Smith with an Irish whip and back body drop. Smith punches Brien in the corner.

Smith with an Irish whip and clothesline. Smith with a power slam but Patrick breaks up the cover. Smith punches Patrick and Pillman with a springboard clothesline. Smith puts Brien on the turnbuckles and he hits a superplex for the three count.

Winners: Brian Pillman Jr. and Davey Boy Smith Jr.

We are told that Kotto Brazil will be in action next week. Next week, we will also see Sami Callihan versus LA Park.
