WWE NXT star Dakota Kai announced this morning on her Twitter account that she has suffered a torn ACL and will be undergoing surgery this morning to repair it. Kai noted that she actually suffered the injury working the NXT house show in Green Bay, Wisconsin but kept news of the injury quiet because WWE was off for the holidays and she wanted to enjoy that time with her family.
This type of injury and surgery usually means at least six months out of the ring, so in a best case scenario, she won't be back until late-summer.
Kai's complete statement reads:
