Since the advent of the WWE Network's launch in February 2014, the streaming service's infrastructure has been handled by BAMTech, now called Disney Streaming Services, but that ended with an announcement today that WWE will be shifting its product over to Endeavor Streaming. The news was first reported today by entertainment trade publication Variety.
"Endeavor Streaming’s best-in-class technology enables us to offer more features, elevate the user experience and provides us even more opportunity to delight our fans around the world,” WWE chairman/CEO Vince McMahon said in a statement to Variety.
Endeavor Streaming’s clients also include the NFL, NBA, Euroleague, Univision, Sportsnet, Sky Sports, MSG, National Geographic, and Big Ten Network. Endeavor represents WWE as a client for a number of different deals and they officially announced the launch of Endeavor Streaming today.
There is no word when the WWE Network will shift over to Endeavor or if there will be any noticeable change for WWE Network subscribers during the transition.
