LOTS OF RING OF HONOR NEWS COMING OUT OF FINAL BATTLE PPV

By Mike Johnson on 2018-12-15 12:58:00

Last night’s ROH Final Battle PPV was completely sold out.  We had reports from those who were there that tickets were selling outside for double and triple the original retail value.  The show is available for replay buys for Honorclub subscribers as well as on Fite.TV.

The original plan for the Ladder War last night was for it to run 40 minutes.  The match was cut to about 25 minutes right as they were going to the ring.  The irony there is that ROH added a fourth hour to the show to ensure that they had enough time for everything as there has been an ongoing issue with the undercard going long, which leads to main event times being cut.

The four-hour PPV window is not, as of this writing, a permanent change.

There were no major injuries last night, which is amazing considering some of the bumps that took place last night.  There were just the usual bumps and bruises.

Dave Lagana was at the event and was running around filming footage all night for future editions of the Pinnacle digital series, so the NWA’s relationship with ROH is continuing.

The word backstage last night was that British talent Mark Haskins has officially signed with the company and is coming in.

If she hasn’t already, it is expected that new Women of Honor Champion Kelly Klein will be signing a contract here.  ROH released the following post-victory promo last night on social media:

There was no announced return to the Hammerstein Ballroom last night.  The promotion’s next date in NYC is obviously the G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden.  The number one question I was asked last night by fans was whether there would be additional dates at MSG.  I know for a fact that MSG is open for it, but I don’t believe there is anything on the table currently.

Tonight’s TV taping will be the final scheduled appearances for The Young Bucks, SCU, Adam Page and Cody.  The word last night is The Elite will be working an eight-man tag tonight.  There was a MASSIVE line for the Bucks’ signing last night before the PPV.

Chris Daniels commented on what will likely be his last major ROH singles bout:

There should be some new names debuting at the taping tonight.  We are told the company has an eye on some additional international talents.

Last night’s Toys for Tots drive brought in 5-6 huge boxes of toy donations with members of the United States Marine Corp in attendance.  There will be another drive today.  In fact, ROH announcer Ian Riccaboni volunteered to personally drive the toys to Toys for Tots after today’s TV taping:

Atlas Security’s Ronnie Lang and Joe were in attendance last night.

Prince Nana worked backstage in the locker room last night.

Former ROH and TNA talent Becky Bayless aka Cookie was backstage visiting last night.

Add LSG to the list of those with a deal expiring at the end of the year.

NWA Champion Nick Aldis will be defending the title against Billy Gunn this weekend in Puerto Rico.

Tenille Dashwood is in Philadelphia and will be signing before tonight’s TV taping.
